Very nice looking car, good color, but the WEIRD THINGS for exhaust tips are ugly, looks like it came off a junkyard gypsy Cadillac, put back the chrome baloney cut tips which was AMC OEM.

I've a 1973 AMX since March 73. The Clean Air Act of 74 killed the cowl induction option, some 74 AMX's came with the Javelin hood when the fiberglass hoods were used up. Nice Javelin, some one had some money to put into this car. Only 776 AMX's were built with the 401 engine in 74. Mine is a 401 go pac, 4-speed with dealer install 3.73 rear gears, 1970 Rebel Machine cast iron intake. It is Cordoba Brown Metallic with gold fade to black hood T Stripe, all black vinyl interior. A larger 1 in. front sway bar was added along with the addition of a 1/2 in. rear sway bar. The AMX handles like a go cart and accelerates like a rocket. It now has 90,000 miles on it, only the oil pump an timing chain have been changed out twice. Otherwise everything is all original as leaving the factory, with any changes made, original parts are saved. Always garaged and on jack stands to keep from spring sag. These are certainly rare cars today as not many were produced, and even fewer were saved.

Instagram and Facebook groups. There's a cars and coffee every weekend in Folsom Carmichael and Elk Grove. EuroSunday, CnCSac, and 'Cars and Drivers' have regular events that are scheduled and hosted by different locations.

The first car that made the pass was me. Last pass ever at Sacramento raceway park. Won 200$ on that pass. Will be missed raced out there for 22 years and my dad has been going there since the60s! Thank you for taking the video of my last pass ever there!
