8580 max resonance filter + wide pulse waves can make very squishy and chewy basses indeed.

really nice sound design, some of it legit sounds like it's from an actual synthesiser

Thanks! I really enjoyed sculpting the sounds for this one.

This does sound good I will admit, but honestly I think the Commodore 64 version sounds better. This NES version doesn't have the same "warmth" as the C64 version.

How did you get music? Did you record directly from the game?
@acrouzet6 күн бұрын
I recorded it from an emulator, using the music files in the High Voltage SID Collection.

I noticed that song #12, #14, #15, and #16 are all soundtracks used for a recent speedrun 4 event, however, ever since you found "Road Police" (Blanklevels) vurse has made it harder to find these songs by putting the song name as the level name (as seen with all of the donut levels, and blanklevels) most people who played speedrun 4 sometime before the soundtrack update (Including me) probably thought that vurse made the song for level 8, even though he didn't, which is also why the Donut level soundtracks are all unknown, although most people say that the songs used for the event were "made by AI" just like most of the event assets in the levels for the event having a "very reflective" look to them, which is probably why people thought the songs, and the various donut models were all "AI generated"
@acrouzet6 күн бұрын
I doubt the music is AI generated, as it doesn't have characteristics of AI generated music, which can be detected with close listening.
@Flakyrblx6 күн бұрын
@@acrouzet I agree, most people probably though that because of how low quality the uploaded versions of the audio sound compared to what they actually sound like, and as seen with Road Police, the song used in game also sounded low quality and had a fade out effect at around 1:50, meaning that there could be more to these songs, which is really exciting. Maybe once we discover the artist who made song #14 we will probably discover the rest of the songs used for the event since most of the songs used sound almost like they were made by the same person.

I think that a really good source to search for Brooklyn Game Audio songs would be the music library from Geometry Dash. You get free access (if you own the game) to a lot of songs, if not all of them.

Are they arcade games? Search the VGM archive for music, or search for full games at emuparadise. If you have the ROMs, use Fox M1 player to search for music in games.
