What do you think in terms of time and average speed for stage 21? Such a time trial with 650 m ascent and descent was rare - 49 km/h sounds rather fast to me, although this tip would be at the end of the time window.

I see Healy winning a stage. Which one is difficult to know. He looked really good on stage 11. If UAE didn't go for the stage and bonuses, I think he would've won that one. Unfortunately for me, because I took a punt on him on that stage because I really thought the break would win. The thing is Healy is still 2-3mins from the top10 so if Gee, Gall and Ciccone are not in break with him I don't see those teams giving too much time on a breakaway with Healy in. Ideally he should lose time tomorrow and drop to like 5-6mins from those top10 guys and after he can go for a 1 or 2 stage wins.. like stages 15/17/18 Also, Carapaz will definitely be in most breaks, but his price is high and he doesn't look like he's on a good form rn to beat other guys. It will also be interesting to see what they count as a breakaway in mountain stages once the GC guys stay alone in the lead. Agreed 100%. Not sure how such balancing could slip through into release as some simpe math will instantly reveal the absurdness. Just take tomorrow's stage. A rider in front from km 0 to say 15km to go will gain more pts than the winner. I like the idea in general but 1pt per 5km would have been sufficient. It also takes away from the reward of genuinely successful picks like Vauquelin or Van den Broeck as it's not too much of a difference to picking, say, Jegat... Let's hope they change it next year. At least the racing itself has been great, cheers :)

Great work once again. Since your team is the same as mine, my plan is keeping the same team and on stage 4 (Galibier), we should bring Carapaz and Abrahamsen. The breakaway points are just too OP. The abrahamsen guy has more points just on breakaways than Pogacar has overall. 99% of races has breakaways and most them survive till at least 20/30km of the end. It’s a guess game based on how much the peloton actually lets those guys survive throughout the race. Now imagine people that actually have inside info on who will go for breakaways on a specific stage. They’re light years ahead of us.

These are excellent videos, watched them all from the first one ahead of the tour and looking forward to more - subscribed. Great strategic understanding/analysis! I was very surprised when they changed the rules this year: 1 pt for 1km in break is just insane imo. I got really lucky with my picks, currently at 26th overall in the game with the following team: Pog - obv (will probably swap him out for jacobsen for stages 5-13 for stage leader pts then back in) Remco - yellow + young rider pts, will be up there after stage 4, will get itt stage leader points. is swappable for lots of great gc guys in case he slips around stages 14-15 WvA - obv, gambled on him as my leader for stage 1, it paid off De Lie - my risky pick to save me on stage 3. it could go south but I want to come 1st not a solid 5000th :D. he looked really strong at nationals Pidcock - thought he might have a great start on stages 1+2. might survive stage 4 decently. yields young rider points. likely to be will swapped for pedersen before stage 5 Van den Broeck - my lucky pick. I just looked at procyclingstats and thought him to be massively underrated for 7 given that he can climb and is a young guy as well. also it was clear dsm would attack every non pancake flat stage in breaks Abrahamsen - like you also stated in your videos, a great aggressive rider, clearly undercosted at 7. did not expect it to go THIS well Gachinard - Lanterne rouge :D. If they're right, he might be quite valuable along the way. he can also get the odd young rider point accidently
