Have a 2007 XR 140k miles only under hood repair was replacing the intake manifold gasket 2 years ago. Keep up with routine maintenance and you're good. Only complaint I have is that now the clear coat is peeling.

I'm not sure if I have strength to do the heavy lifting, but I definitely feel encouraged, at least for those back seats. I'm intimidated by the front ones, though, but MAN I'd love to clean the sides of that middle console that I can never reach. Removing those front two seats would be amazing lol. Dude, I have an 05 base Vibe with the Moon and Tunes package. Power everything ice cold air. I've gotten the joy of driving it 5 days worth out of 2 year's of ownership because I made mistakes in setting the tension in the timing chain. So now I have to tear it all down again.

Yes I watched the whole video. lol. I have a 2010 matrix. Replaced a wheeler baring, starter, and it’s starting to need a cv joint. Slight clicking, not constant but occasional. I love the car. Previous owner didn’t take care of it. I try to do better. P.S. I agree, no better ending than running over a snake. lol.

Thank you for making this video on how to replace HVAC AC & 115V inverter bulbs! I have a 2003 Toyota Matrix XRS and my HVAC AC switch only lights up when I turn on the AC. The air recirculate switch doesn't light up when I press it on and both AC & air recirculate switches do not light up when I turn on the headlights. I ordered some bulbs to replace the burnt bulbs on my HVAC AC switch and will have the lights working again. I like your cellphone holder mounted to the center console. I daily a XR matrix now. Slowly making it into something cool. Unfortunately its 4spd auto but its coming along. Id love to have a XRS Matrix one day or XRS carolla but the matrix is definitely cooler design.

Im 18 and bought my first car an 03 matrix with 159k miles today for $2500 only can the ac needed a recharge which is around $200. I inspected it myself using chris fixes pdf from his inspection guide video I scanned for codes and got a yellow light the obd scanner which can mean a number of things by i came to conclusion it was having trouble communicating to read something because it had no codes. I test drove it and it drove well and shifted nicely. I wanted to make sure about that code so I took it to a auto shop for a pre purchase inspection. they said everything mechanically was just they tried to have me buy a whole new suspension I checked it myself and it seemed fine it is old but nothing too serious no rust or anything because I live in cali. I even asked the mechanics for their opinion and they said it was a good reliable car since its a toyota and doesn't have that many miles. So I snagged it for $2500 I paid the guy and drove it home. When I got home I wanted to show my mom the car and I went to turn it on then it wouldn't start. Lightss, radio, and fans turn on with no crank and just a single click. Luckily the guy who sold me it wasn't a scumbag and came right say to help me try to jump the battery. We came to conclusion it needs a new relay fuze or a starter so I ordered both of them for $100 off amazon. Its very unlucky the car starts having a issue as soon as I bought it and took it to my house. At least I didn't get stranded anywhere. This was my first big purchase and I'm pretty bummed out hopefully its just the starter because I don't have money to dump into it.
