Hi Alan, as you can see the hike starts off through woods and then to be greeted by that view of the Grand Canyon was something else. It really is hard to describe but 'awe-inspiring' is a pretty good adjective to use.

A very informative and detailed walk which I would like to try. During which month did you make this walk? Are there any scrambling or difficult paths along the route and how long from start to finish did it take to complete the circuit?
@roamingspices28382 жыл бұрын
Hi Mark, thanks for the comment and glad you found the write-up useful. We did the walk in June 2021 and it took us approximately 4.5 hours but we stopped many times along the way. There is no scrambling and the only slightly difficult section is the rocky path that leads up towards the summit of Gowbarrow Fell. I am certain you will enjoy the walk and the views are breathtaking. Enjoy!

You got a canny day for it mind and Catbells is always a great walk with super views, with the launch over always a great option. Must be 18 months since I was up there and I went on up to Maiden Moor and High Spy, which I can thoroughly recommend, if you are up there again, cheers Alan

This is cool. Can you remember whether any part of this walk was inaccessible for horses? It seems to use the bridlepaths for much of what I see on your video but sometimes you can find that bridlepaths have been blocked with stiles etc- so I wondered if you remembered seeing any blockages?

I know exactly what mean. Looking back at my photos from 2019, there appear to be 3 gates along the trail which at the time could all be opened. So, fingers crossed, you should be fine.
