Thanks I had ants wreak havoc living underneath and in mine. Removed them took out ants that attacked me when pruning. Yup moved them n they do look this way so I'll add more soil. Thanks

I live up in Washington on the Olympic Penninsula (Sequim) and my Angel Trumpet does not give off the scent you talk about! It’s still a bit small (@3’ tall) but its blooms are really big. Also, how do I prune it to get a single trunk so it becomes a tree?

Mine is looking worse than that one. I live in northern California and started noticing the dead leaves this summer right after I pruned it in May. At first I thought pruning damaged it or insects. It does get all day sun and the most during the hottest part of the day. I am really worried about it. I tried giving it more water but that has not helped.

I just stumbled upon a 14yr old video of yours. Whilst I was searching for what I've done wrong with my Japanese weeping maple! I wondered if you were still posting after all this time. Glad to see you are and that the video quality has improved 10 fold. Where are you situated? Canada? I'm in Australia. So have to be careful not to get the wrong information, whilst watching online, season wise about what I should plant when etc. You seem very passionate about gardening. I like that. You remind me of a friend of mine who always has a smile on their face. I love gardening but am very new to it and mostly dont know what I'm doing. I have been learning mostly through trial and error. Ive always wanted a weeping maple. I finally got one for my birthday this year, in April and it's not looking so good. I planted where I could see it from inside. But I think it maybe getting too much afternoon sun, or perhaps it didnt get enough water. I also need to check if I planted it too low. Or it may not have good enough drainage. Haha. Seriously it could be any and all of those. It's lost all its leaves. And I wasn't sure if it was because of Autumn or too much sun. It's the last month of winter here now. So im kind of hoping it will grow back in spring. But also not sure if I need to move it or what to do! Anyway. You have another new subscriber. Hello from the Apple Isle, Tasmania. 👋🏼😊

Hello there! I know I'm asking this question years later... But isn't this toxic to pollinators if it gets in the plant systemically? I want to use something to control aphids and white flies, but I'm concerned this will systemically get into the flowers and pollen of blooming plants.
