My favorite overlooked detail about Sevika is the parallels between her lighting up different cigars in season 1. The motif begins with Sevika accepting Finn's offer to light her cigar, symbolically portraying that she is willing to hear him out. Or otherwise her saying that she's been convinced and is shifting her loyalties to him. Then, in the scene where Sevika chooses to kill Finn instead of Silco, the scene includes Sevika lighting a Cigar for Silco. Once again portraying her shift in loyalties and doubling down on the motif. And finally, in her last scene of the season, after getting her ass beat by VI and shit seemingly going south as possible. She's seen on a couch, alone, attempting to light a cigar for herself. She most likely didn't know Silco was dead at this point. But I believe she saw in that moment that she needed to be loyal to herself. She needed to be the one to step up. And I believe that is a big part of why she willingly collaborates with Jinx in the second season. And we see her even further pushed towards being the change she wanted to see in the people who she was loyal too when she is given a seat on the council to represent Zaun. I think that the cigars kinda tease her projection towards evolving from a follower to a leader.

I highly doubt people see Sevika as a underrated character. In season 1 she was a badass not to mess with and in season 2 she played a good role for the lanes and don’t forget how cool that fight was against Smeesh. Anyways this was a fun video.
@SantoByulКүн бұрын
She definitly has her incredible moments but i believe that the fans don't notice her almost as much as they notice other important side characters even though she was the one person always speaking to zaun's future, also thank you for watching!

cool video! these two have been on my mind since I finished Arcane, and I think this video did a really good job at explaining why their dynamic is so special. & I like that you don't label their relationship, I feel like the labels of "lovers" or "like brothers" don't do justice to simply loving someone and sticking with them despite everything

Thank you, i agree, sometimes those labels get in the way of understading something much greater in any kind of situation, and thank you again for watching the video!

every single moral code they had was transgressed ONLY for one another. Each other's saviour and assasin in a never ending cycle. Dying alone in every universe they dont get to meet because they were the sole reason to make the other keep on living but then dying embracing eachother whenever they could. Wether people like it or not they are the third most important romantic relationship on the show because nothing else is as undying as love, bigger than a lifetime, everlasting, infinite love.
@jessikacaroline723 күн бұрын
I really enjoy some of jayvik fanart. They are very cute. But let's be real, romantic love usually is the most superficial type😅 It comes and goes so easily. So, saying "whether people like it or not" is kinda wrong, I guess. If you support it, that's great! But it's simplistic to assume only your view is correct when all of others interpretations are as reasonable as yours, as shown in this majestic video.

I love this analysis! Their story was so compelling at every moment, from their dream to make the world a better place, to nearly ending the world with the very thing they thought would help it, to being the only ones who could set each other back on the path they started together (to make the world a better place, even if it means protecting it from themselves). I do like to believe that they survived when they went into the stone (it looked the same as any other teleportation/timeline hopping scene we've seen), but regardless of their fate and whether we'll see them again in future League stories, their final moments together at the end of season 2 were spectacular. 🥹

Finally! Someone who gets it! Viktor is not simply a villain. And the relationship between Viktor and Jayce is more complicated than hero vs antihero. Their paths are inextricably intertwined. Without Jayce, Viktor would never have become what he did. And without Viktor, Jayce would not be who he is. I especially love it because there is no "romance" between the two of them- it is pure "love", one soul seeing another and accepting them for who they are. "You were never broken" pure poetry!

As someone who loves the Fallout games and enjoyed the show so much I watched it twice, and as someone who couldn't give a fuck less about League, even I'm baffled how Arcane lost. The Fallout show was very good for a show based on a video game. Arcane transcends what it's based on and becomes its own, spectacular thing. It doesn't make me want to play League, but it does make me look forward to further on screen explorations of its world, as well as anything else animation studio Fortiche will make in the future.

While Arcane might be an arguably better show Fallout is a much more faithful adaptation of the source material. When I compare the two I know Arcane is a garbage adaptation because no one called me 20 different slurs or told me to kill myself at any point so it simply didn’t feel like LoL.
@heelsurfer266816 күн бұрын
I read a comment on Twitter that read "I still feel like Arcane is the better show, but after sleeping on it, maybe it's not a good adaptation when your most effective word-of-mouth advertising is "Please give it a chance, it's nothing like the game!". " And I 100% agree with the decision with that in mind.

Imma be honest I watched it over the last few days and I do not like the fallout show. I honestly think if it didn't have the fallout IP on it it wouldn't have been as popular. I understand it's a good adaptation of the fallout world but I don't like the characters apart from Lucy at the beginning and Norm or the story. But that is just me.

By the time the nominations were announced, Arcane S2 hadn't even finished airing. If this was any actually decent awards show and not the Game Awards, it would have been in the nomination for next year instead of this one.
@Imar1316 күн бұрын
Fallout is a great show and especially great adaptation. It adds to the world of the games with new lore for existing fans to enjoy while making it mainstream enough that anyone can watch it. When your number 1 way to get someone to watch a show is by saying "Its not at all like the games, don't worry" it may not be that deserving of best adaptation. Best show out of that selection for sure. Probably best show that came out in 2024. But I understand why Fallout was picked specifically for this award. Besides Arcane season 1 already won best adaptation anyways. It's nice to highlight a variety of content!
@heinrich420816 күн бұрын
I don't think it is that deep. Fallout has a broader appeal, it's setting is familiar both through the games, similar movies like Mad Max or westerners in general. The show displays real actors when Arcane is purely animated, and I know people who won't watch something animated because animation is for children. Arcane is also a sequel while Fallout is something fresh, and S2 doesn't seem to have generated the same amount of buzz season 1 did. I also think season 1 hit harder emotionally, it had a sense of tragedy season 2 lacks. A lot of the endings felt weird too, for me, not badly written but dissatisfying.

Copium, Arcane is better than Fallout and the Game Awards never established the criteria you used in the video, therefore the better has to be a commom sense better. The Game Awards is rigged, and Spaceboy or whatever is a shit game. Black Myth Wukong didn't won because it was from China and Arcane didn't won because it was mainly made in France. Americans were always shit game developers and now that more ppeople can make their own movies they are becoming shit filmmakers too.

I haven’t stopped thinking about Jinx/Powder and Ekko!😭 I feel like the Ekko&Powder romance was a reflection of what Ekko&Jinx could’ve been if their world didn’t go to shit. I think the potential romance with Ekko&Jinx might have happened between when Ekko saved Jinx from dying, and the final battle with Noxus and Viktor. Whatever happened between those events had to be moments of intimacy (non-sexual) and emotional healing both for Jinx & Ekko after all they’ve gone through.
@SantoByul18 күн бұрын
I think the same as well, I believe it was a true moment of bonding between those two traumatized people while they were preparing for the war, and the paralels of what could have been both in the main timeline and the alternative are so DARN good I almost made a video just about that
