I just recently picked up my Scamp Lite and I am heading over the Galveston way. I appreciate all your info on this area. Looks like you both had a good trip.

We did. We just enjoy kicking back on the Bolivar beach because it is not as populated as those on the West side of Galveston and we do not tend to get into the water. Plus, Bolivar is just across the bay from Galveston, so we take the camper on the ferry (free) for the 2 mile trip into the city. They have public parking areas and you can catch a city trolley to about any place you want to go.

Also, the section of beach accessed from Rettilon Road does not required the annual $10 pass according to the posted signs there.

Thanks for the feedback. I actually have the Taisioner Windslayer Cover on for this recording. I have another Windslayer version I plan on trying before considering an external mic. If anyone has experience in this area, please let us know.
