It’s definitely louder man and has more of a lope to it like a normal Cummins instead of smooth sound. I think it sounds good. I got me one going to install it. Nice truck btw.

I would be concerned about sending metal through my injection system. I'm sure the bedsheet and girl filter does a good job but I'd still be worried about metal slipping through.

Ask your local oreillys if they have a " protec" oil filter for your truck they come in a case of 12 and are cheaper then wix filters ...but there literally the same filter

Ran used motor oil in the 5.9 Cummins…same thing…she was harder to start, and filters were gumming up rather rapidly even pre filtering the oil…but it does work!

and the engine burns that shit up just fine? the diesel oil is combustible? i dont quite understand, for diesel engines is the fuel the same liquid as the oil?
@thedennis4412
@thedennis4412 8 ай бұрын
@@banana3399 No it's not all the same. But it has a close enough hydrocarbon ration to combust under pressure AFTER it's been thinned by running in your engine and soaking up that precious small amount of blow-by. No the fuel is not the same as the oil, don't put fresh 15-40 in your tank your injectors can't handle it. Does this make sense? Your diesel engine was originally designed to run on almost anything with the right viscosity as stated by Otto Diesel in his patents.

Catch the little bit of air, as it conks out and dies it loses revs but still running pumps the rest of the air out then catches itself, high pressure fuel pumps usually driven off the timing belt/chain on some diesel's so revving it increases fuel pressure too

This worked for me. I can make it up the big hill in my yard again. Pretty easy job, needed a pliers 1/2 inch deep socket, 1/2 inch wrench, 9/16 wrench, jack stands, and floor Jack, and a small flat screwdriver to pull the plug out. It took me 2.5 quarts of oil. I used 20-W 50.
