Enjoyed your captures of that amazingly beautiful Reserve. The photo of your wife on the bench, looking at the serene water view before her is so frame-worthy. Beautiful composition. Am pleased to follow your nature journey.

Really enjoyed watching this. We stayed in Kippford about 7 years running and always used to go to Sandyhills each stay. We sadly recently lost our chocolate Labrador Meg, had her nearly 12 years and she was our regular companion on all the walks. We also did the coastal walk along the clifftops and Meg used to get down into those little bays and coves in the water, so good to see your dog's doing the same. Beautiful part of the world and we will be back in September, will also be back with a new dog at some point

We’re glad you enjoyed watching our video and that it brought back some lovely memories of your Labrador Meg. The two black labradors in the video belong to my Niece and her husband and they love taking them to places like this where they can walk the legs of them. We hope you enjoy Sandyhills on your next visit and hopefully it will be with a new furry best friend also.

I think that you have missed the point. There is a designated Forestry motor home park 400 metres away, and this is a public car park. Whilst you may be “self contained” one only has to look at the local press to see local opinion, to the extent of people openly defecating in car parks. Motor homes generally spend no money locally, and are of minimal benefit to the local economy unless they use a proper site. Your video serves to encourage these people, and therefore spoils the scenery that you so avidly enjoy. Perhaps some food for thought before your next trip.

I cannot and will not comment on other motorhomers but we did indeed contribute to the local economy by walking along the canal twice to the Cairnbann Hotel for coffee and dinner. On every trip we make we stay in camp sites 80% of the time and on this trip Tarbert Holiday Park and Argyll Holiday Park also benefitted from our income. Unless the law is changed to prohibit wild camping we will continue to enjoy it and encourage others to do the same. You have suggested that the area where we were parked is a public car park however during our visit there was absolutely no signage whatsoever to support this claim. I agree with you 100% that if people are doing as you say they are then it is totally unacceptable but please don’t tar everyone with the same brush. Thanks for your interest in my KZbin channel and I hope you continue to enjoy my videos.

This is a public car park not a camp site, and there are no waste facilities or services. This has meant that motor homers have been dumping rubbish here and emptying human waste into the canal.

How dare you insinuate that I would participate in these disgusting behaviours. I have motorhomed for years and our vehicle is fully self contained. Beauty spots in Scotland are there to be enjoyed by everyone and narrow attitudes like yours are damaging to the tourism industry and the local economies that benefit greatly from motorhomers and touring caravans.
