I started playing the piano at my elementary school in Europe. My father being a professional violinist and teacher there, I was in school where my father taught as well. The Music School.

The way of the modern age when abrupt interruptions into tranquil music is peppered with trash advertising of commercial rubbish that nobody really needs. Very sad!

Within the hushed recesses of our family lore, there dwelled a fervent devotee of Claude Debussy-a spirit who sought comfort in the subtle harmonies of his works. This forebear, whose heart resonated with the somber tones of Debussy's piano, encountered a touching demise. It may have been a concluding nocturne that whispered faintly as they left this realm, bequeathing a heritage of fervent musicality and yearning tunes. 🎵🕊

His music is a classical pieces I find to define a certain era when he were alive. Hearing these pieces simply transfer you back at those moment that you never existed, Yet you can feel the emotion and the feeling of someone who living there resonance through you. Now this is what I call music.

Satie is not a composer, it is a mood, an unknown feeling, unexplainable like the brasilian "Saudade"....

I believe he wrote these pieces as "furniture music" to be heard in the background. But those pieces are certainly more than background music.
