It must be pre-installed.

If it is still showing close testing, then you should have at least 12 testers who have downloaded your game for at least 14 days. Otherwise, the close testing will not be completed. If your 2nd step is completed of close testing of having 12 testers initially, then close testing will be done even in install base 9. And, no google will not reject your game. It will be in the close testing until it is not done.

You don't have to update during the close testing. You can update the version once the app is LIVE on playstore.

So, does this method fix your error or not? If not, then delete the specific folder of that app from the application directory of your phone. It is hidden in phone, but you can find it in Android>data>com.application_name folder "when connecting to PC".

Yeah, actually, the method in this video works when the app is already installed and you are trying to update it. If you can't delete or find the app folder, then the only method you left with is to reset your phone storage.
