I think I saw you another video to ask you the same question and nobody answers to you I’m not a professional but I don’t think so because when I saw The other videos they screw the window exactly in the shit you’re not gonna be able to remove it you only need to cut it to get a flat to the window frame the window I hope that information helps you

Do not remove the shims, they stay on. Score with a knife and snap off any excess.

If you are thinking of windows & Consider Monarch Windows! Contact me, I'll show how $15,000 worth of their windows will look after a few years! I've got about 25-30 of them that all have to be removed & replaced! They must of used the cheapest soft wood available. I have both dog house & children play house that I've built with scrap wood, never been painted, and the wood hasn't rotted, But these Monarch Windows, have been caulked & painted a few times , despite that, they are all completely rotten, the Window panes are falling out, the frames are rotted away, It a total mess! Likely due to continued leaks, caused other damage yet to be disclosed!

great video....one question. can a retrofit window be install in an new construction addition to match the rest of the existing retrofit windows around the house? I was informed by the inspector that I have to use a nail on for the addition. thanks

Really? Are you trying to tell me that a garbage plastic vinyl window will last 90 years? Not only is the window environmentally unfriendly but it's expansion contraction rate is 8-10 that of a wood window and 20 times that of a fiberglass window. stop buying this junk!! Buy a real window from a good company like Pella, Anderson or Marvin. Stop promoting plastic windows.
