That ZF gearbox is epic, this bus recently suffered a blown engine and is now withdrawn I think, which is a shame as it was one of the best of them all.

If I was the bus driver I would stop immediately at the safest spot as soon as it started beeping. They obviously haven’t trained the drivers correctly here if this situation occurs.

No kickdown in this video, the bus does not have it.

This is definitely not kickdown. I drove many Mk2 B7TLs across different First regions, and none of them had kickdown. This was by First specification. Although this B7TL does seem to of been reprogrammed to a different shift pattern than normal at some point in its life, it still definitely does not have kickdown. The higher than usual RPM when pulling away is due to the gearbox shift pattern being setup differently to what is normal, and the vehicle changing from 6th to 5th gear several times is a design flaw of the 6 speed Ecomat. They are notorious for "hunting" between 5th and 6th gear, as 6th gear is an extremely tall gear and if the bus is not revving high enough to accelerate then it will downshift to 5th where it can. They will do this over and over again until the bus is doing a high enough RPM in 6th to accelerate. The higher RPMs when on hills is also not kickdown, this is called "Topodyn", a feature introduced by ZF where in if the gearbox recognises that the bus is on a hill, it will either downshift to a more optimal gear or it will hold the current gear for longer for better power. Once the bus is over the hill and on the flat the gearbox will default back to its normal and usually most economical shift pattern. ie changing up a gear at lower RPM.

Ah yes, the time when the 19 was good. The only Cribbs Causeway bus from Bath, not anymore! Not that I'm saying the 19 sucks, but it would've been better if it continued to Cribbs.

It must be a problem with a water system because the tanks last for like 2 to 3 travels before going to the depot and getting chect ups

My local route! This has now been extended to include much of the now discontinued Numbr 4 route. From Kingsdown/Upper Stratton the 10 now goes through Queensfield (The residents are not at all happy about that) & then it goes on to Abbey Meads, Tadpole Village, Oakhurst & then on to Orbital Park and then it does the return journey to the Bus Station & then on to the Toothill & Freshbrook part of the route. Bus Station to Orbital Park & back to the Bus Station takes about 1 hour and a quarter. Many Bus Stops in Abbey Meads are now not used The Council are not installing any new Bus Stops so to catch a Bus btween Upper Stratton & Abbey Meads you have to stick your thumb out & pray that the Bus Driver stops for oyu!

The audible warning you hear is just the 'STOP' on all mk3 volvo dashboards. It would simply just flash on the little screen the driver sees.
