As much as I miss them, at least they aren't suffering under the GM corporate boot anymore

Why couldnt we have nice comfortable safe cars like this again?! They were so roomy! Too many small foreign cars infiltrated America in the '70's and '80's. Thats probably why we had to get used to the change of smaller cars, with bucket seats, instead of big bench seats. How many of yall miss them? But you probably dont miss the gas guzzlers.

My favorite old's Cutlass was my 1st cutlass that I bought from a very good friend in highschool and me and my cousin did a lot of work to it and I took it to the atco speedway in Atco new jersey and it ran low 12's in the 1/4 mile and I absolutely loved it and ever since then I was hooked on cuttlass's,I owned at least 25 cutlasses when I was younger and they were very powerful machines and had a great body style and were very reliable and very friggin fast 😎👍❤️

Why do so many people call this a hemi? It does not have hemispherical heads. It simply has 32 valves. It is not a hemi.

Sadly we let so many into america that we lost sight of what the country is about. Because there is so many people and becuas ein inflation you make less today then you did many years ago,a dollar is worth nothing and everything is mass produced overseas and doesnt last, cheaply made. These car were solid built, gorgeous lines, they put their blood swet and tears into these car. Your family probably turned a bolt or screw on those cars. America was a special place,it has style,it has class, there was respect for the buyer, and respect to the salesman, not anymore. Drawn on a peice or paper and shaped with clay, computor will never replace a the hands of a true artist can make. Take a computor and design a car,it was never look at good as a hand shaped car.

Notice, even the mighty W-43 Hemi in its former glory as far as I can tell or see is the infamous Rochester carburetor! In order to power such a beast I imagine it had to be 895 CFM or higher. I had a 77 442 with a 350 and the OEM carb was an 895 CFM Rochester and it never backed down from a fight, lol. Many Dodges that had 360 CU lost the fight.

The '71 Riviera is still one of the most beautiful cars ever designed... Right up there with the 1948 Tucker, the '40 Continental, the 1956-57 Mark II, the '69 Mark III, the Jag XKE, the '61-65 Continental, the '63-65 Riviera, the '66 Toronado, '67 Eldorado, the '70 Camaro... All beautiful in their simplicity. All

Why the teenie boppers dancing around an OLDS mobile ? Really ? Why couldn't Olds just've been happy with their " older " market ? The younger crowd were Chevy and Pontiac buyers. This insistent change of theme for Olds finally self destructed the brand. They never won over the younger buyers, and ran off their traditional buyers. Those older buyers went to Buick, Mercury, Chrysler. Olds deserved to go under.

One hell of a good test driver - 4 wheel drift in that big boat takes great skill- i love the body style and smooth lines- that 4 speed must be pretty rare- all i have seen are automatics- bet that beauty is worth some big bucks today if it is still out there in someones garage

My dad had a 76 olds cutlass supreme- great looking car- comfortable seats and you barely had to touch the gas to cruise at 80mph- not super fast but would still bark rubber off the line and pull pretty good w the rocket 350- overall a very good car.

We had an identical one from 1973 till about 2005. What beautiful memories. I remember if I had a chance to steal it from my dad. Occasionally, I would burn rubber all over the city of Toronto, Saint Clair and Dufferin area. 🥹❤️
