Hi, no reason. For the class tutorial we were focusing on MOCHA only, so we didn't add it into this one. We actually cover doing it with adjustment layers in class.

Thank you for this tutorial. I encountered several problems that I wanted to share. I constantly get the error messages # Warning: Cached Playback: Cache disabled as the evaluation manager has been disabled. See the Script Editor for details. The dynamics evaluator must disable the evaluation manager due to these unsupported nodes: Despite this error I managed to get it to work. Just make sure before you click gravity you have selected the items you want gravity to effect. The simulation was very very laggy though even at every frame

Abit late but said id ask anyways. First thank you for the video. Im trying to animate a camera like shown, and so far everything works as shown, however, i would like the camera to start at the other end of the curve. Basically the camera is finishing where i wanted it to start. Thanks again for the video.

Hi, you can control this in the Windows/Animation Editor/Graph Editor. When you select the camera, the curve that appears in the graph editor represents the motion of the camera. Simply reverse the curve (start high, end low), and you animation will be reversed. Cheers!

Thank you for such a simple and easy-to-follow guide! In a niche where everyone seems to overcomplicate things and always start from a mid-point (already prepped models, rigs and poses), your video is an absolute breath of fresh air. Not all of us are (or attempting to be) AAA studio animators, and something simpler like this makes the software easier to get into... Thank you for helping me pass my 3D Maya animation class!!!

why do you want to do this with mask tracking. Mask tracking is not used to attach amy object. If you attach your tracking data to a null simply use motion tracking😊

@iguanazo12
@iguanazo12 Жыл бұрын
Hi, you can definitely use the curve to create a copy. Simply select the curve that has been projected (you know when is it is selected because the Move gizmo turns into the 2D gizmo of projected curves). Once you have selected the projected curve, in Modeling mode, simply go to the Curves menu, and select Duplicate Surface Curves. This will create a 3D curve (non projected), but that is tied to the projected curve by history. As long as you keep history, the duplicate curve will obey the projected curve. I hope this helps!

@@iguanazo12 Awesome man I really appreciate it - So I actually figured out what I was initially going to ask you but I have now run into another issue that maybe you can help me with: Ive drawn half a curve, mirrored it along the Z axis, and am now trying to attach the two halves to make one single curve. I was doing this earlier today with no issues but now for some reason when I use the attach curve tool and try to move the resulting curve around, half of it is basically stuck in place? It should be noted that this is something I dealt with a couple of weeks ago but had seemingly sorted itself out. I would greatly appreciate any help you can offer 👍

Hi Glen, did you make sure to turn your shape into paths? If so, select it, go to the Window drop down menu, and at the bottom of it you should see the links. They come standard with the most recent install of AE.

Hi sir, I have some objects falling on the ground. it's actually at the corner of a room. so I apply shadow matte to both ground and wall to capture the shadow. but the problem is when objects are falling, their shadow doesn't appear on the ground until they hit the floor. I mean it doesn't show even a halo on the ground, have you any solution?
@iguanazo12
@iguanazo12 Жыл бұрын
Hi Erfan, i just tried replicating your issue on my side, and it works just fine. Since what you describe is objects falling at the corner of a room, I suggest creating a poly cube that matches the inside of your room wall and floor and applying the ShadowMatte material to it. This way, any object in the way of lights will project a shadow. Also, make sure to play with the Intensity, Exposure, and Samples of your lights. You might have enough lights in the scene that the shadows become almost invisible.

Hi, i can't check the cast shadow only and add light transmission on the texture layer for projection on extrusion in cinema 4d render cuz it doesn't appear, do you have a solution please?
@iguanazo12
@iguanazo12 Жыл бұрын
Hi, unfortunately, the Cinema 4D renderer in AE does not allow for light transmission via shadow projection. You would need Ray-traced 3D to be able to extrude and have light transmission. However, you can import a Classic 3D rendered comp (which respects light transmission) into a C4D comp, and you would still see the texture from the Classic 3D content.. The draw back being that you can't extrude the shape in classic 3D. What exactly are you trying to do?
