1980, Steve Poltz was 21 yr old & played the guitar at our wedding in Balboa Park, San Diego! So great to have watched him evolve & accomplish his dreams! Jewel is just that! A jewel

“Steve, there must’ve been a mistake. There’s a check for several hundred thousand dollars”. This is the exact thing you’d expect a young Steve Poltz’s dad to say.

Left Eye Gibby- reporting live from the "Rino Room" on Sheppard in Houston TX. Sometime around 1996-1997. Pop up show for Jewel to promote her upcoming show. a group of friends went and were introduced to Jewel's music. So proud to say that we were along for the original ride. Of course, she had put many years into her playing, writing, and style, but our group can say we saw her "DAY ONE IN HOUSTON"! LOL

I'm assuming the Otis Gibbs one? I was watching it just last week and then a few days later I was playing guitars at my favorite store in Seattle and Jewel walked in, such a twilight zone moment. I was too chicken to say hello, but in hindsight I should have just thanked her for not letting this song get Poltzified 😂
