How to reach kachi gati from Shimla railway station by local bus

@randomviewsdilse2 ай бұрын
Although not very bothersome, just that between Karad to Kolhapur, the highway work is still in progress and diversions at certain places. If no traffic jam is encountered then no issues. Roads in Amboli ghat at certain patches are a little bad.

Can a Intermediate driver drive on these ghats?
@randomviewsdilse2 ай бұрын
one can drive on these ghat, just be more watchful, drive cautiously and slowly. While going down use engine breaking and avoid very frequent use of brakes. The trick is not to allow the car to move backwards, if at all it comes to the standstill when starting it on the slope. And one can avoid using AC when climbing the slope to avoid load on car engine
@solomonjohn93582 ай бұрын
AC off while climbing,,🎉
@VijaySingh-ik7bd2 ай бұрын
@@solomonjohn9358 Does this applies for Automatic Car also?
@randomviewsdilse2 ай бұрын
@@VijaySingh-ik7bd in general When climbing a hill, the engine is already working harder to overcome gravity and maintain speed. Turning off the AC reduces this load, allowing the engine to focus more on power output. And Depending on the traffic conditions and the car performance, you can choose to keep it on or not. But definitely if while climbing at a speed of stop and go traffic on very long stretches, then better to switch it off irrespective of manual or automatic car type.

Can u please share the location of all the food stops u covered as we too are planning for a trip with little one next month
@randomviewsdilse2 ай бұрын
Hi, since we took the kolhapur belagavi NH48 route, there are plenty of food stops and Kamat restaurants up until belagavi ( belgaum). We took the lunch break at Viraj junction in Koganoli after entering KA. It is a kind of food mall with a variety of options including from MacDonald, KFC, Haldiram. The place is very clean and well maintained including the washroom. But If you wish you can take the food break before Kolhapur in any of the vithal kamat restaurants. And further if you drive to Sankeshwar, crossing nipani, you would see plenty of restaurants and hotels. U can try veg food at Hotel Sai Park. Located in the prominent junction
@randomviewsdilse2 ай бұрын
Beyond that not many good options we found on the highway. So carry along some munching and water to avoid very frequent breaks as travel distance is longer. Beyond Sankeshwar mostly once you cross a major town like belagavi, dharwad, hubballi, Chitradurga and tumakuru you will find few options on the route. We took a break for 20-30 min near Chitradurga before reaching Bengaluru.

Try Anushkura route to avoid ongoing road construction patches in rainy conditions. Please drive carefully and start early in the morning if possible.The downside of this route is not many eating options you will find and a little bit steep curve at a few places. Keep the Offline map handy. Wishing you a safe and happy travelling.

Hi Dilse.. we are family travelling with kids on this 20 May, from mumbai to goa. Which route should we follow? heard about the road conditions of satara/ kolhapur, which are under constructions? there are 3-4 (ghats) ways to enter GOA, so which ones to take for avoiding potholes ? pls guide.
@randomviewsdilse7 ай бұрын
Hi, you can either take the kolhapur - ambolighat - goa route which has plenty of eating options and fuel pumps all along the route. Although just between ajara and amboli, road widening work was in progress so in total 15-20 min drive would be a bit off-road on 6-7 road patches. Otherwise the overall road condition is ok. Another route people also suggest is going via Anushkara ghat from Karad.
