I've not stayed in ibis budget botel before but I stayed in ibis Sheffield the other week, they had kettle facilities in the room and was pretty nice 👍

I live in blackpool, i been in brighton in 2017, its day and night,blackpool run down,poor, only thing cheap and a slight seaside resemblance to brighton,but absolutely no comparaison, thats why whoever said money is not important was deluded,best of luck guys

Actually ,firm mattresses are the best for our backs !! Soft ones aren't good ! It just not comfortable at 1st ,but firm ones can help our backs to get straightened & better . 💜

Yes,they tend to be a bit dim in a room ,but it's a real budget hotel ! And also,if you turn all the lights on,it's not bad ! 💜

Very nice review & room !! The bench is useful for extra luggage or shopping bags to put ,if you are like me who don't want 'em on the floor !! Also,if you're sharing a room ,you can sit on the bench & your partner can in the desk chair ! Also for eating meals ! Lol I really love Ibis & what they can offer for the prices !! I only stayed at one ,Ibis budget in Newport, Wales, I really enjoyed the hotel & location & the floor plan & prices !! 👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶🇬🇧💞

Over last Christmas i spent 3 mights visiting family in southport, it was 20 quid a night! Was worth it just the crank up the heating 24/7

Travelodge in Leeds was appalling. Will never stay in one again. Rude non caring staff, dirty rooms, with few facilities. Breakfast was awful.

Double bed bases are in 2 sections because you’d never get them in a room. The toilet flush handle is missing a wood surround and the metal nut that goes on the end. As for the lights….. great video though and a nice hotel. The Britannia group have some amazingly beautiful hotels but they’re tired and worn out. They’re obviously making an effort to sort the hundreds of rooms out but it’s going to take a very long time and cost a fortune.

I've always wanted to stay in a Britannia hotel but the booking website says I'd need photo ID, but I don't drive nor go abroad lol

Definitely better than some other Britannia hotels I've seen on video. Older buildings like this are hard to keep maintained, but the flaws are minor, and I wouldn't be afraid to spend the night there. From what we've seen here it doesn't deserve bad reviews.

I stayed at The Ibis Hotel Southampton for 1 week before a cruise 10 months ago. I agree with Matt, it was a comfortable, clean hotel. I felt very safe there and enjoyed the ocean breeze and squawking seagulls from my window. I would have liked a small fridge in the room, but I guess that would have increased the price.

UK hotels should stop using the carpeted floors in rooms. I prefer the European style wood or imitated wood. Its easier to clean. The carpet is dirty and disgusting.

I never realized how much I took a hairdryer for granted until there wasn't one (looking at you travelodge windsor). Any biscuits at all are a bit of a bonus tbh

You should try the Grand Burstin at Folkestone, try and get a nice harbour view :)

When you first walked into the room it looked ok till you had a good look around needs a repaint and new carpet which looks its been replaced in the public areas biscuits in a Britannia that is a surprise 😮. 🍻

To be fair ive seen worse it looked ok to me if there was a bed peace and quite a bottle of white and a good sci fi book to read with no kids nagging oh u mean lovely wive id stay there lol

For first 6 or 7 minutes I kept waiting for the “but” ? Everything looked ace, must be a but any minute. Great video 😊 Oh and yes ginger biscuits all the way!
