Would you recommend this as a first bike? Would I outgrow it too soon?
@ChancellorBeeHaw2 күн бұрын
ive got it as my first bike, im 6'2 and 85kg and it feels a tad small but that's literally it. absolutely perfect bike to start with. been riding for almost two years now. I definitely want another bike, but that's more so a craving for bikes, and not to do with the classic 350. If the classic 650 is announced, id definitely wait for that instead though, same styling but a bit more grunt? sign me up.
@thefuzzybiker171Күн бұрын
I would recommend it as a first bike. It's is very well behaved and predictable. Having said that, I do own one with 8,600 miles on it and I'm happy to tell you that it is one of my all time favorite motorcycles. So I would recommend it to anyone that wants a good all around fun motorcycle.

That was a great video! I had to laugh at the level of fun you were having. By the way, I ordered some items from Baxter Cycle last week and I screwed up the order, so I called and talked to Cara (or Kara, maybe), and she got it all sorted out for me. After the call ended I realized that I didn't tell her that Fuzzy Biker sent me! Sorry about that, buddy. Please let her know. Thank you for the video.

I just bought a 62 Thunderbolt, it needs tlc, but it runs. I have a himalayan, but wanted something to tinker with and improve. Love your enthusiasm and lack of planning! (gearbox). I think the lever arm on the front brake drum needs rotating anticlockwise a little- the angle between the cable and the lever arm should be less than 90 degrees. This is so common on videos, I finally had to comment.

Love the Interceptor. I’d buy this particular one just because of the seat! Now that’s got the right look. RE should pay attention to that. The stock seat doesn’t do anything for the bike… it’s pretty underwhelming to say the least.

Nice bike . Did you mention the Isolastic engine mounts ? To offset engine vibration Norton designed a rubber shim system which separated the engine from the frame a tiny bit The swing arm hung from the same two vertical engine mounting plates , that held the separate crankcase and gear box housing , which also improved vibration effects . With the lovely engine torque and fairly low weight the Commando was a joy to drive . It could be listed as one of the first superbikes I think . Five speed Quafe box . Excellent addition . I had a Dunstall Commando , I wish I still had it ....we have far curvier roads in the UK , so we developed machines to fit , Commandos are not in any way boring to drive over here ! Excepting the fact that some idiot invented speed camera drones .

I rode my V85TT to Alaska and back. Rugged, reliable, well balanced. I think this is my "forever" bike. Not too heavy, not too powerful, gets 55+ mpg. Don't get me wrong, I love the R1250GSA. It's smoother, more powerful, great presence, but it is heavier, almost twice the price and way more expensive to maintain.
@thefuzzybiker1716 күн бұрын
This V85TT is a great modern motorcycle. And as you point out, very capable. Wahoo!

I'm jealous -- I had a P11A (bought it new between "vacations" in SE Asia), rode that rascal all over Georgia, Florida through the south over to Texas a couple times, fire-roading when I could, Washington State. Montana, North Dakota (and in the snow one winter), just a great bike; great to ride, easy to tune, easy to work on -- eventually traded for a fastback Commando (also a great bike, but entirely different character). Blast from the past...
