Hey big fan and using this video as a reference for my own run, why do you start the timer at 3 seconds and why do you restart as soon as you begin? Hope these havent been answered elsewhere, just curious about the time advantage it gives you and why!

3 seconds is the load time advantage you have over starting from the main menu, which is why you have to add 3 seconds when restarting the game. Pretty sure this is stated in the rules on speedrun.com as well, make sure to check those out! And good luck with your runs, you got this!

AMAZING work. I dominated table tennis back when i was 10 lol, I'd like to have a go at this record some time. What are the requirements, do I have to get a capture card to record my gameplay? Could I use dolphin for this?

Thanks for the kind words! About the requirements for submitting a speedrun, you do not need a capture card to record your footage as long as your screen is fully visible and preferably audio too. Unfortunately, emulators are not allowed due to them having faster loading times which includes Dolphin Emulator. Either way, good luck with your future plans!

I think u have to move ur wii remote to the side u want when the ball is going to u and u’ll move a little bit faster, u have to do as if u r going to catch the ball but u ain’t, u just move

Little late to the party, but depending on the caracter you’re playing against, both you and your opponent will get different mechanics. Very annoying
