I have a theory this is Porky Pigs first official appearance, since the true creators celebrate the Warner Bros. Cartoons that year, The Bugs Bunny Show is and always will be my favorite.

Now that Warner Archive has started putting the corrected full frame versions of the remaining widescreen cropped cartoons that have yet to be put on disc in their correct aspect ratio on the Collector’s Choice sets, it is very likely that they’ll put this one as a bonus feature in the correct aspect ratio.

The actual ending of Tom and Jerry's original era. A fantastic note to end on! 10/10! (The following 18 cartoons are their own kind of era.)

0:04 We'll never know who accidentally appears slightly jumping behind the MGM logo in this one, but it could either be an human's head, Tanner's fur being sticking out, a rat, or a hairball.

00:00:01 I love the sound of the dragons and The year of the lion begins. 00:00:07 - 00:00:08 The clock strikes midnight, and the Chinese year of the lion begins and Fireworks exploding and the Chinese dragons are on the parade. Look at the Chinese people carrying dragons.

Major changes near the end of 1933: Rudolf Ising and Hugh Harman got a big contract and moved to MGM, taking a number of the crew with them. Those who remained, with Leon Schlesinger now in full control, kept chugging along with a new music department and "I Think You're Ducky" from the Vitaphone Orchestra replacing "Get Happy".

The fact that "Really scent" is the only pepe le pew cartoon not directed by Chuck Jones is wrong. There is Odor of the day, 1948, Arthur Davis, and Dog Pounded, 1954, Friz Freleng, where pepe appears in the end when Sylvester dresses up as a skunk to scare the dogs that protect Tweety

This is not the Tom and Jerry of the cat and mouse cartoon from the late 40s - present day, this group known as Tom & Jerry was a popular radio duo of singers popular back in the 1930s that happened to score a cartoon feature from their popularity, which is what you are seeing here.

I love that little dance the characters do lol, wonder who are the singers here, Gene Rodemich did a great cover of “By The Beautiful Sea” here with the singer duo. Wish it was recorded on an actual 78. I Just love how beautiful the aesthetic of the 30’s was.
