I'm still on ps3 and love it, I refused to buy PS4/5 as their not backwards compatible, come join my boycott now, let's demand backward compatibility for Ps1/2/3 games, boycott corrupt Sony and watch their profits plummet 🙌

I was born in 2007 and didn’t get a ps3 until i was 3 and I would play mostly with my mom or brother 🥲 and my first online game was black ops 1 and little big planet and to this day I still play on my ps3 once in awhile never been cleaned inside 😭 and looking at games from ps3 to like ps5 the graphics look amazing but the games are actually so boring 😔 and 70$

I honestly don't remember video quality for the news being this bad back then. Amazing how much we take for granted the quality we see now.

The Wii won that war! Everywhere I went 2 weeks before Christmas had plenty of PS3’s but not a Wii to be found. I actually got my hands on two Wiis the day it launched and planned to keep one to sell on EBay and one for myself so I could play the new Zelda game. I ended up trying to do a nice thing and I sold the extra Wii at the same price I paid to my friend who’s 9 year old son really wanted one and his wife couldn’t find one anywhere. It felt nice to do something unselfish like that for Christmas.

PlayStation 3 did not live up to the hype. It was overpriced and the Xbox 360 was worlds better especially their online service I had both consoles back then and I regret ever buying a PS3 Sony lost billions on this console because it was priced $300 higher than the 360 which had the same graphics and was available a year before Sony was dead in the water in this console war

This was an exciting time to get a new system. (and she is so hot. I miss normal, intelligent people on tv -- but that's all relative -- lol!)

I was 18 and had just for my first credit card, the Best Buy credit card. This was my first purchase along with and extra controller and 2 games. About $900 in total that took me like 7-8 months to pay. lol
