That is NUTS! I have a C0561-00 (basically the same code) on a 2012 Terrain. Also have codes for both front wheel speed sensors. Changed one w/no effect. After understanding your breakdown of the RDCCM code(s), I feel it's safe & wise to replace the wheel hub/bearing assembly for the that front wheel. Thanks for helping to spell out the big picture of these systems

Great series...really enjoying it!!!! ...side thought, I was hoping you would give your thoughts on the Autel MP408 (4 Channel Scope). At the price point, I think it is awesome for everyone to use or learn on. Again, the price is my key consideration. No it is not an all in one, but for under 400 bucks, good to have in the arsenal. That along with the Vantage Edge (Legend now), you can be covered nicely!

So I just ordered a Pico 2204A for practice purposes because I am not an auto tech although, I have worked on electric buses. Currently I'm a Marine Electrician who works on US navy ships - including carriers. I've also worked on submarines as a Nuclear Instrumentation Technician so I know how to use an Oscilloscope' I figured I'd start with a cheaper scope, then graduate to the Pico 4425A - which I was going to purchase but having viewed multiple videos on the 2204A, I chose to obtain that one to practice on. I'm fascinated with auto electrical diagnostics and looking to transfer over to that field. I have experience with CAN networks so that's my main focus - in addition to troubleshooting and repairing the various modules...which I will focus on later on. I think the 2204A would give me the experience I need before dipping deeper into my pocket to acquire the 4425A. What do you think - I'm all ears.

My code p0302 is on along with C0561-71 and C0242-00, I've had it in the shop for 3 weeks and they can't get the cylinder 2 misfire to stop coming on. Changed the coil and still same thing, they say my spark plugs look new but I just got this 2011 gmc acadia Denali like 4 weeks ago so idk what they have done. Please help idk what else to do and im stuck with this car
@christinadaniels8753 жыл бұрын
Bad compression in cylinder 2 or faulty wiring in the harness or vacuum leak near the intake gasket going to cylinder 2. the other codes are a result of this maybe

Could be the fuel injector for #2 cyl? Direct injectors fail pretty regularly on these platforms. It could also have a bent valve? Sounds like they proly got to do a complete tear down to know for sure(sucks). A misfire left unchecked will destroy the catalytic converter on that side of the motor.
@senorslick83933 жыл бұрын
. I changed my plugs and coils and still got a P0300 misfire code about a month later. Maybe want to check both PCV valves - there is one removable on the front of the valve cover and one on the backside. Both of my valves and all of the components were completely backed up with oil. I cleaned all the pieces very good and drilled slightly bigger holes in the back PCV valve. I also changed the oil and filter - seems a lot more responsive atm. I am considering playing with the cat just to see if it brings back even more power and responsiveness - I’m sure it’s clogged also.

***I seem to have a common problem with long engine crank start and this is a new symtom for this car when it used to start right away. now after changing the crank pos. sensor and cam pos. sensor omid factory oem parts it still long crank start but runs sounds good when running the initial problem with this car is that it just stalled when driving and go into some kind of limp mode. With many other things to cure this problem of just stalling out lightning bolt light; engine light ;sas light among other suspected issues do you have one guess what direction i should go in now other than fuel ;spark;pcm;egr;throttle body;oh and is there two crank position sensors on this car?if you like go ahead and take a swing i'd really appreciate it thanks.

Thank you for posting this video. I was also confused with the location of bank 1 position 1 sensor. I also had an issue with an aftermarket cam sensor, it now makes sense why they only cost about $20.

I dont own a scope yet, but had a question about attenuators... Maybe a dumb question, but, I've seen people talk about buying small attenuators to put between the scope and the probes, but don't the probes already do attenuation with the 10x, 100x, or 1000x settings? Why buy a 20x (for example) attenuator go to between the scope and the probes when the probes already do that...?

@@johnjorquez3982 the who? I just got a gmc Arcadia and all those lights r on..but ever now and then it jerks a lil bit...so there's a piece in the wheel bearing that may be doing that?

@@meetmeoutback86 jerking as in the engine is misfiring? Also yes my actual wheel bearing was good and smooth still but the magnetic strip that is on it was half missing that the sensor reads...so it threw those codes
