@beeabee33 You could start by making your shorts actually short, meaning less then a minute. Try not to speak just about you and your family. I am no youtuber nor any expert, so you can take these advice with grain of salt, it's just my personal view. I also subscribed your channel.

@beeabee33 from a youtuber, though i don't do short form content- i do have a few critiques. I think if you're pointing out a mistake like the tripod failing, you should make it quicker, show it and move on (very minor critique)... I think that guy was very wrong about family, if that is what you feel like is the core theme or message in this- keep talking about it. I love the way you talk, it sounds authentic and honest- almost like you're going at it without any script (aka it sounds natural), but at some points the uhm's or the pauses do distract it a little bit, so maybe take a minute or two to do another take of your voice recording and do some editing magic. As for length, it does feel long, but I can't say that's a bad thing- there's tons of people looking for that, but it is also true that most people watching a short, do scroll away quickly- so if you want, you could see which parts you could cut out, which ones you feel are integral, where you can trim or speed something up, etc... Never give up... Keep being a creator, keep being you and I have loads of respect for you as a creator, it's no-small achievement putting yourself out there online. Have a wonderful day!

@Dawn_AS I use capcut for all my videos. It's very straightforward and easy to use compared to some of the other apps I've seen others use. For the thumbnail I use Canva, and for music, Thematic. I hope this helps! <3
