No, not really, I just understand the bare minimum of circuits and usually mange to cobble up stuff that works so there are far more capable people out there regarding that kind of work!

Yes, The capacitor in the description still holds up after one season and one winter storage, just replaced it on another machine yesterday. The DSK-3R3H204T614-H2L is easy to install when you bend the negative pin down so the capacitor stands on it's edge (but you have to hot glue it down so the vibrations doesn't break the soldering).

@@pibbertech I used DSK-3R3H224U-HL (but I think something like EEC-EN0F204J1 or EEC-EN0F204J2 would have fit better), requires some bending but working fine since 2 weeks ! thanks for the video !

The solution for power isn't super great, so don't think my way is the correct way to make this, but If anyone wants I can explain what parts used and what I've done and parts I would like to improve!

Hi Tobias! Yes there have been very little information to be found on this subject, hopefully this fix will be a long term one, verdict will come next fall. as an extra option to the mentioned supercapacitors in the description above, the Panasonic EECENOF204RK should also be an option.

If you have the little caps on top (like the ones I put in the last bit of the video) you need to remove these first, they are snapped in place. After that you just pull them out! Note this is for older models only before 2020, newer models (late 2020 and 2021) often have ballbearings instead, you can't pull those out! (they are locked in place).

I think it's an end of the old series because I think I saw the little caps you are talking about under a small black plate. I'll see it tomorrow because it's the day the robot doesn't mow thank you again for your help And above all to share your knowledge 👋🏻😉👍🏻
