Any plans/interest in more demos? Seems like a really cool module, but it’s woefully under documented (no manual, as another commenter pointed out). Particularly interested in how it handles audio! Am looking for a Maths replacement and a matrix mixer and wondering if it can do both in my small system. Cheers!
@PodularModcast3 күн бұрын
@bobbyeagles yeah, I am hoping to get an audio demo out soon! Regarding the Maths question; the 2 function generators don't have lin/exp switch, so in that sense it can't replace a Maths.
@bobbyeagles3 күн бұрын
Nice - Looking forward to the audio demo! Good point on the lin/exp switch. Trade off might be worth it though.

how do you like it? looks super compelling but not a lot of info out there still.
@nanocyde_artist5 күн бұрын
@@bobbyeagles Great! I used it on my first day of Jamuary, you can sort of see how it works in the second half of the video with combining modulation sources to create evolving sequences. I've also used it for complex cross-modulation of VCOs but nothing on video.
@bobbyeagles5 күн бұрын
Nice! Is it very useful for mixing audio signals?
@nanocyde_artist4 күн бұрын
@@bobbyeagles I'm sure you could do that, I was only interested in mixing CV. I used it again in a livestream last night. I guess it would work well for feedback patches or distributing an audio signal to different effects. The built-in VCAs are really nice, it's like having a fifth CV source for each channel.

Cool interview. I just hope the ALM modules gets converted from VCV to MetaModule. Makes me curious what MM will be in a year from now. This has been my dream module for many years. When i messed around with Roland's AIRA modules i was imagining we could eventually have something like MM, but i also understood it likely wasn't going to happen since the AIRA modules was a total failure. Roland must have spent a small fortune on it, it had its own interface on PC and everything, really good interface too, kind of like VCV rack (but with animated cables even), of course it just had a very limited amount of modules, but i found it super cool to be able to make my "own" module. So strange that these modules failed so hard, i remember them being sold for like 50% off or more in no time..

Great interview! Do you know if there are any plans for After Later Audio to get into developing software modules for VCV Rack and the Meta?

Thanks! I don't think ALA plans on developing any original designs in the digital realm, so probably not. But the MM is making me want to learn how to build VSTs! 😂

Not the subject, sorry, but those are the gloves every synth demo-ist should wear. The latex ones look too passive aggressive; those ones look like something you would use to rock a circuit-bent Snoopie Snow Cone machine.

It's so great to hear something from rbeny. I have been kinda sad that his channel has been so quiet over the last year. Totally get it with the inspiration though. I have a hard time with quitting weed and being inspired to go out and play shows in some way. Making music without being stoned is no problem though. Anyways, I am glad I just discovered this channel and podcast series. Keep up the great work ❤
