Why isn’t this version on Spotify? Someone was playing it in the car and I sang this version, not the censored version and my friend thought I was full of it when I swore up and down the censored wasn’t the original

Thank you so much for posting this original version. I don't know why Ed Sheeran has made this original version of Don't so hard to find. I can't find it anywhere on KZbin Music or through his official KZbin channel. I guess this song was made back 10 years ago in an era where radioplay mattered more.

I heard Ed Sheeran say he censored the original release so young fans could enjoy it, and while applaud his making a song about catching feelings for your fuck buddy more accessible, I appreciate the uncensored version

Honestly I like the breaths instead of the swearing for the “don’t fuck with my love.” But I think the “We were staying in the same fucking hotel floor” is just so perfect. Like I feel if the chorus was kept clean but that one line had “fuck” in it it would’ve been perfect. Like it would’ve shown that throughout the song he’s upset but composed, but the bridge would’ve just been an angry stream of consciousness. Like he’s trying to stay composed but toward the end of the song he gets all “WE WERE STAYING IN THE SAME FUCKING HOTEL FLOOR”

I think that would have been great if they'd done that. It doesn't have to be an either or and a well placed f bomb can be truly explosive if used in the right place when everything else is censored out or implied

An entire note in the melody is missing when the f*ck" is missing and you can't replace that with a breath.
