The car is a 68, not a W-30 originally with the 455 that year, but very clean and eye candy. I would drive this resto-mod.

Beautiful . . . but not a "coupe" as labeled. It's a sedan. No, being a 2-door does not make it a coupe. Different body style.

Nice looking carb! And great looking A! Mine is nearly identical, 1930, Brewster Green coupe with straw wheels. Is the Winfield air balanced such that I could run it with my K&N hiboy air filter? About what would someone expect to pay, if he could get his hands on a Winfield carb?

Great video. I don't think your editor needs to jazz up the video with music. It's hard for us old gezzers with bad hearing from loud motors, to distinguish voices amongst music. Great information.

Just have to comment on the quality of the video. The man behind the camera does great shots. You can see everything in the close ups. The angles are great. The lighting is good. The continuity Makes it easy for me to follow what is happening. This is not to belittle the ford. It looks great, etc. Wish I could have such a outstanding example.

Very impressive. I was a little disappointed that it didn't show the restoration of the interior as well, since the video is titled "full restoration." Also, the correct YOM plates on there should be 1947 California plates with a 1950 metal tag on it. Usually, the State of California won't allow a classic car to carry vintage plates unless they are the correct YOM ones, as I found out when registering my 1947 Plymouth.

Huh? At the flywheel?? That’s only 437 at the wheels accounting for 15% drivetrain loss. These are about 375to 380 at the wheels stock. So it only gained 40-50 hp?? The ZR1 is the same displacement and size blower and it is almost 630 at the flywheel.

The factory HP rating on this car is 430 HP @5900 rpm, 424 TQ @4600 rpm at the flywheel. This is also an automatic transmission, so factor in torque converter loss.

Good video but you are selling Winfield & no real comparison with the original Zenith design made by also Holley & Ford [ Zenith 1, 2 & 3]. What is the cost of these? It has more jet adjustment but only because there is now no mixture adjustment at the choke as per original design? I would like to try a higher comp. head, B cam & electronic dist. for just a modest improvement in performance. Cheers.

I learned to drive in my father’s off-white 1950 Ford, but it had a V-8 and a single piece, curved, windshield. I think the windshield had a center spoke under tension that the rear view mirror was attached to. It was also the first car I worked on and the mechanicals in this video jogged some nice memories. Thanks for that.

My dad bought a new Hawaiian bronze '50 in late '49 for $1,610 at Bob Ford in Dearborn Michigan. He was one of many WW2 vets that treated themselves to a new car. Due to high demand, labor strikes and inflation (price gouging) the '46-'48s were tough to get except an uncle who had "connections" and drove a new Olds 98 every year. Rumor has it he was a numbers runner. By '49 cars became more available. It seemed like everyone in our large family of Aunts and Uncles bought a new '49 or '50 model car. Someone hotwired Dad's '50 when he was at work in Detroit and went joy riding with it. The cops found the car and it never ran the same. He traded it in on a new '55 Ford Fairlane. Great memory of the first nice, new car our family had.
