Omg, this is an amazing job! Did you model a high-poly mesh and bake it, or did you paint directly in this low-poly version?

Hey thank you! 😊 This was a low poly model, did not bake anything :)

Great video! I have a question, because I was a bit confused, at the end when you were laying tiles, you did it on 1920x1080, where previously you were working on values like 2048x2048. Does this mean that before e.g. throwing into the game, you scale the created art adequately to the viewport inside Krita?

Thanks! ☺️ Yea, it is probably too small for the real life practice, but since it's highly stylized and fantasy, it can work like that. Also, I used Jenny Brozek's sword concept

Oh, how come there is no projection mapping? It's nice to paint in 3dcoat, but projection mapping it to Photoshop and painting from there can be faster.

Luckily, many game companies don't want to use and promote AI in their games. Will that be the case in the future? Probably, but that still doesn't mean humans should stop making art ;)

Hello. Can AI replace us in the near future? If algorithms for easy retopo and UV unwrapping are developed with AI, I don’t think this will hinder me. But if a prompter can produce a professional mesh in 3 seconds, does easy retopo and UV unwrapping have any meaning? No matter how much we optimize our art in terms of time, does our imagination have any significance compared to easily and effortlessly creating a 3D mesh with a prompter? In such a case, can I still be an artist?
@ellasketch
@ellasketch 2 ай бұрын
This topic is definitely scary to think about huh But currently, many companies don't want to use AI for their projects, therefore artists are still very needed in the whole process of making games. AI will develop over time, but that still doesn't mean humans should stop and give up on making art/models. But, let's look at it from the positive side - doing any creative form of art is a huge part of us and that can't be stopped by any machines, and I also think many indie studios and individual projects will be on the rise.

CSP is a scam! So you buy a one time purchase version, but have to pay for updates that are reversed the moment you stop paying for the same versions updatea
@ellasketch
@ellasketch 3 ай бұрын
I definitely find their way of payments confusing compared to others. With a one-time fee, you have access to the latest version for one year, and after that, you need to pay for the update pass for another year (around 20$ I think) or you just stay with the same version without updates. If you use a monthly or yearly subscription, you get updates as they come. I wouldn't call it a scam, they are still way cheaper than Adobe, but they do need to highlight these extras when purchasing Btw, I discovered this after I made the video 🥲
