That windshield cleared the rear view mirror when in the open position. As well as the hood??

Yes, if adjusted correctly they clear the mirror and hood. One issue they have is if the little rubber bumpers aren't stuck to the roof the windshield will get scratched going over bumps while open.

I put it on 2 weeks ago. It did not clear the rearview that came with the mule. I found a different one that did clear. I think a 3rd handle in the middle would make it way more sturdy in the open vent position. Other then that I really like the versatility and think I picked the correct one. Works real nice!

sounds like it was hard work for the lumber jacks to re rail the steam train

Not sure how the railroad got the train back on the tracks since it was sitting on the ties, I suspect they jacked it up and either move the engine and cars back or moved the rails back under it?

I've visited the Black Hills Central, so your title caught my eye. Love both the story ( the courage of the engineer) and, most importantly, the pictures, most of which are wholly new to me.

There was a lot of RR activity in the Black Hills during the early mining days.

If I could go back in time I’d love to see the narrow gauge railroads of western South Dakota.
