In my opinion he should not have a hairstyle with the hair combed back. It reveals his Windows peaks to much. Comb it forward. I don’t understand, why he had it cut so short. He could have had a great cut with hair to the shoulder n

Great hair cut and beard trim. Looks 15 years younger. Brought out the manly jaw line which was natural for his face. Handsome guy emerged!

He keeps trying to flatten the top. Leave it fuller with a little height as it looks better. I think that's what the stylist was going for and it suits you.

When I was an apprentice in the printing business, my journeyman had long (thinning) hair and a bushy beard like this. He told me that he once shaved it all off during his lunch hour at work one day. Walked in the door at home that evening. His wife screamed and dived for the phone.
