Hi, Can you do an altitude callouts test via MCDU in the >>> A330 <<<, please? May be also a COMPLETE TCAS TEST? I only saw simple TCAS tests, where you can hear TCAS SYSTEM TEST OK/FAIL, after the test. But I red, that it is possible to do a complete TCAS test where you can hear all callouts of the TCAS. It would be very interesting, if you could make videos about these tests. Thank you.

you are not suppose to operate the pump and valves with fuel empty/dry because it will cause damage.
@andrewmalik37373 ай бұрын
@northernpomeranian normally true, however the A320 family has a feature that automatically turns the pumps off when the tank is empty regardless of button position. That's part of what this test is.

Those valves send engine air to the packs You are talking about the engine starter valve which is is not what you are looking at. Air goes from the bottom up Not the other way. Stays the fact, your configuration is a bleed misconfig. At no point you should have all the sources on and isolation valves on. Try and start an engine leaving it that way and you’ll agree EICAS will let you know there’s a bleed misconfig.
@andrewmalik37376 ай бұрын
I admit, I learned something new about those valves. However, there's nothing wrong with this configuration. That procedure you describe must be an airline specific SOP because normally, this configuration can be left like this for engine start. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gIu8l5KHf9pogtUsi=X6O0Frqm4LX3gGLg (Watch from 2:30 to 6:30)
@miles73256 ай бұрын
@@andrewmalik3737 yeah there’s a lot of protection in these systems anyway. Post more videos
@miles73256 ай бұрын
Air goes from the engines, not to the engines. Your configuration is showing both engines and APU bleeds ON, On top of that your Isolation valves are also ON. The system doesn’t like too many sources on. When the engine bleeds are on, the Isolation valves need to be OFF to allow each engine to send Air to the PACKS. Furthermore Your engine bleeds are OFF because your engines are OFF so there is no air coming from there. Your turning the ENGINE START SELECTORS to Ground Initiate a start sequence that will go not far if you don’t turn the packs selectors OFF, deselect your engine bleeds OFF (push them out) And especially if you won’t turn the fuel control switches to RUN and insert fuel (don’t forget to also start your timer). So take a breath, Eng bleed off (both) Apu bleed off (wait for the valves to close) Packs selectors (both) OFF APU bleed ON ENG START SELECTOR (right one first) GND start the timer Fuel control switch (at max motoring or 25% N2) run Then once the engine is stable Repeat on left engine And only after ISOLATION valves OFF Apu bleed off ENGINE BLEEDS ON packs ON
@andrewmalik37376 ай бұрын
You realize you didn't correct me at all, right? 1) Yes, air goes to the engines. Otherwise, how would you get the pneumatic starter to work? 2) I wasn't explaining the engine entire start-up sequence (of which, i am already familiar), I was only explaining how to get open the engine bleed valve. 3) I did mention in my video that you need to turn the PACKs off before being able to start the engine.

Hi, May I ask you a question, please? I know that the 767-400ER has a automatic APU Cooldown mode. Does the 767-300 have also a cooldown mode? Or is there any other procedure? For example disconnecting electrical Bus of the APU and close Bleed Air from the APU, and then waiting a certain time before you may turn off the APU. Thanks for your help.
@andrewmalik37376 ай бұрын
Yes, the 767-300 has an automatic cooldown mode too.
@AVIATIONSOUNDEXPERT6 ай бұрын
You could calculate the runway slope by this method, of you anticipate that the slope is linear. You have the runway elevation on both sides on the charts and the runway length. Then you can write it as percent. That value could be entered into the FMC take off page 2/2.

Hi, Does this problem happen also in Boeing aircrafts? Can you show us in a video what you have to do in a Boeing aircraft, like 767 or 737 please? How long do you have to wait before you may shut down the APU? What does FCOM mention? Do you have to wait also a certain time in the ERJ-135 and Legacy 600/650? Please load up more flightdeck tests videos of the ERJs/EMBs ect. Also of FMS tests.

You need to wait 3 minutes after turning off the APU bleed before shutting down the APU. Same thing when turning it on.

They are always first tightened with a spanner. Then to finalize the installation, they must be torqued to specs.

The benefit of having stairs attached to the aircraft is so that the destination doesn't need to have outside stairs to board and deplane passengers and crew.
