Hey awesome video thanks! I just finished a 6 night car camping in my 2012SRX and I tried a few ways to turn off the ambient lighting. Checking the handbook too. And sometimes it would turn off and other times after 20 minutes it was still on with all the windows and doors closed. Any idea how I can turn them off. My battery died twice! and that was with no lights or radio.. nothing on. Thanks in advance!

I just got mine and absolutely HATE the fact that there are no folder buttons on it, just like yours. They should be above ad below the play/pause button. Why they didn't add it to all models is just stupid. On my car above the main display I have a storage compartment, but yours looks different. What is that area beside where you were hitting the dash?

have this (2014) and friend has a cruze. this is NOT a re-badged Cruze, nothing close. they share the same platform, that is it. This has different suspension, body panels, interior, engine. not even in the same class. I have no issue with my tax payer dollars going towards a design like this. Ford took none of our money and was a ford guy my whole life. after dealing with several POS fords, I am done with Ford. I had more issues with my last 3 fords. I finally wised up.

This is a cool motor and I'm a huge fan of GM V8s. But I have a couple of questions if anyone can answer? And some opinions if anyone wants to flame me? Will we still need to replace DOD hardware with "always on" valves and stems for very high output, high revving and forced induction applications? Is the DOD hardware as simple to remove as in the GEN IV motors? I love GEN IV motors but in the real world the DOD in the L76 made a very small difference in consumption at the cost of valve train strength and exhaust note and it created a noticeable thrum when disengaging which led to a feeling of interrupted smoothness. Certainly for tuners and car guys it's undesirable. I always felt that it's for corporate reasons and more for guys who want an SS or a Corvette or a Camaro or a Caddy but don't actually know anything about them. The Australian L98 was my favorite low cost GEN IV out of the box. It's the car guy's motor. Will there be a GEN V without DOD?

I got the one with the light grey interior and there's no cloth on the dash. I don't know what the material is but I'm glad it's not cloth.

love the car! i've had it for about a year now and its awesome. although mine is involved in the recall for a part of the breaks. i love this car other than the stupid fabric on the dash! I'm a smoker and i have cats, so all the all the ashes and cat hair that flies around sticks to the fabric!

With a tune, downpipe, and NGK V Power plugs, it's not a bad car. You should be in the 170-180ish HP range with that. For what it is, its a decent eco car that can get out of it's own way and chirp 1st and 2nd gear if you really feel like taking a MPG hit.
