Very disappointing result although the vid was nicely done. But there are much better tutorials out there that produce a much nicer leaf cane.

Jen, this is so absolutely gorgeous and realistic I can hardly believe my eyes!!! I’m trying this technique with your “Grape and Peach” cane, wish me luck. I’m sure that I’ll never be able to duplicate your work but I’m sure going to give it a try. Thank you so much for the Video and all your instructions 😊

Hi Jen, I’m struggling to make a cane that looks like sweetcorn leaves. They have when I try and make a lane it always comes out looking like solid lines but the stripes on real sweetcorn leaves fade into each other. Any ideas please?

@jenwalls93833 жыл бұрын
Thank you! No alcohol inks. This particular pink isade with a touch of florescent pink, a tiny dab of white, and mostly translucent!

Had to have my folks come get me and help me out. I'm currently out of state at their place recouping, they helped me get the medical attention and meds I needed and I'm happy to report that after a month, I am finally sitting in a chair for dinner and was able to ditch the cane yesterday. Unfortunately, during all of this, my roommate decided I needed to leave, so...I'm still backed up, but the calvert finally came and life just might get closer to normal soon. Thanks for checking on me💕

Thanks for sharing this tutorial about this amazing plant! I have one question: which colour do you use for the spaghettis? only white or translucent or a Mix?
@jenwalls93833 жыл бұрын
It's a mix of mostly translucent and adding little dots of white until you have it just white enough to see the color

Great tutorial! Thank you other than losing the sound at the end. Also are those air holes at the tip near the point? Looks like to narrow air holes. If so how would you correct that? Thank you :)
@jenwalls93833 жыл бұрын
I smush out any airholes I see as I shape leaves. Usually a simple thumb squash and then coax it back into shape!

I just checked. It's not you. I had to switch to a different editing program because my laptop died and took my program with it. Somehow, I managed to mute the last cut and not notice. Luckily, all you missed was a recap of the colors used. So sorry. I was afraid I wasn't even going to get it out in time, but instead we just have silent ending. So sorry!

Hi Jen! I was commenting on your artwork in a plant group and have been binge watching your videos, love them! I’d consider myself a pretty crafty person and am really surprised I’ve never gotten into clay but I think that’s about to change 🤗 I see you’re fairly new to making videos so I thought I’d give you a couple suggestions. I would love to see you reduce your canes, and I know you say it’s tedious and long but maybe you could time lapse your process and edit it into your videos because I’ve never worked with clay and would love to learn from you rather than search elsewhere while I’m already here. Also for the future when everyone starts asking about your products and what you use (cause I feel like you’re gonna take off!) you could put that in the description box and possibly links to these products. Just a couple thoughts I had. I absolutely cannot wait to see more videos from you!!! And more of your creations on fb and in the plant group!!!

Thank you so much for the insight and pointers, all very good advice. I'm doing a cane video for Wednesdays tutorial. I'll do a speed up reduction with some explanation in that one!
