I was just thinking that the Edge is similar to a 960. I mean, the edge doesn't have ratchets and you can't change the sequence stages. But it's similar

Dog bitten clothes pegs are very useful in the studio keeping the naughty snacks fresh and taming cables. I think in this setup I need to move the modules on the top row to the bottom maybe?

Trills, re-triggers or ratchets are randomised by a CV from a Doepfer Darktime sequencer in random mode.

It's not a 2500 module just a simple stereo mixer with pan and level controls that I made before I got these Behringer modules.

I'm similar to you in age, type of vintage equipment, (did I see a mutron bi-phase?) Rare and awesome, and influences. A couple of months ago, I commented on, I think it was the fathers day video. I'm just getting my studio up after a dozen years. So much has to be refurbished so I took your advice and have purchased roland and behringer units. So that will be set-up soon. I didn't realize you are in the UK. Beautiful country and people, terrible ruling class. The stuff you are experimenting with in this video, reminds me of stuff I used to do by running S/H into the ring mod. on my 2600. Any similarities? I'm an american retired cop still still working in uniform part time so I'm trying to get time to get my synthesis going again. I've been listening to TD since the early 70's, Edgar was my biggest influence. Your stuff is my favorite amongst all the creators. TD sounds run through my brain everyday. My other officers think I'm weird but they just don't get it. Oh yeah, right now in the US, we have F-up politics going on. It's terrible all over. DJT/JDV 2024

Black 962 sequential switch which is switching the channels of the sequencer for 24 steps and my big uninteresting 11 channel panning mixer made and designed by me. The 2500 needs more simple mixers so you can for example put 3 vcos into the filter ( it has two inputs)

@@VykaarTones Hey, thanks for the info. I am really interested in your "uninteresting 11 channel panning mixer". That is the one thing the B2500 does not have. You should do a video on that. I have the 1050 mixer and it is really complimentary to the 1027 like the 962 is. I have a 3 oscillator 2500 sort of like yours and find it very rewarding to play and program. I have used the original also and find there is very little lacking in the sound of mine. (the original have a lot of quirks though) Cheers

I am adding a Doepfer A-138 4 channel mixer to the setup so I can mix the three VCOs before sending to the VCF and will probably add the Doepfer quad LFO so I have loads of modulation options. A smaller stereo output mixer would suffice.

Quite a complex setup with a 960 sequencer being externally clocked and that same clock also going to a Doepfer A-160 5 ratchet controller. The pitch CV from the 960 and the ratcheting gates from the A-160 5 go to a tubbutec Utune where it gets converted to midi to drive all the synths. The random CV which controls the ratchet timing comes from a Doepfer Dark time sequencer in random mode, half visible top left.
