Cool video it helped out alot...Im going to start to making snares next year... I ordered 7 dozen snare locks, 3 dozen cam locks I kinda regret now...I'll get some of those locks you made the snare with my next order...500 feet of 3/32 inch cable and all the stops...I need to order some wammys thou to...Any chance you could make a video showing a snare set up from start to finnish, it would be much appreciated...Check out our channel, we made some nice cat catchs this year in Upper Michigan...

Never seen a person snare raccoons before...I would like to try that someday but are snaring season doesnt open till Jan 1 and it must be on private property and it only fox and coyotes....

i think ur raising them just fine. little children who hunt, trap and fish arnt the ones to grow up and rob old ladies. they are the ones that learn how to work to survive and make a living.

I never really thought twice about snares and always thought they were wishful thinking from watching bear and survivor man. I watched this and went to the hardware store and made one for less than $4 and set it up in my backyard and a cat walked into it within half an hour. Not what I was aiming for, and it's a pain in the ass getting a stray cat out of it. But good job. Great video. I know you have some more knowledge to drop on us. You should make some more tutorial/instructional videos.

They are 3/4 inch, with a 5/32 drilled hole. They are bent on a 30 degree angle.
