On realistic i dont have these two holes how to solve that problem ?

That is something to do with your laptop graphics which affects the display. You can check your display settings on autoCAD

Hello! I have a similar problem, I have done the install flexnet server already and task manager says it's running and while installing, it says can't connect to server and I proceeded with installing solidworks and it still won't connect to the server, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the flexnetserver and still the same problem.
@crisdanraguro5612Ай бұрын
Also, take note that eDrawings is working but not SolidWorks

But could you explain what the issue was exactly and why you took those steps to rectify it?
@Mechanical_Eng_Design7 ай бұрын
The cam has to be continuous, ie polyline as opposed to line segments. The follower needs to have a point of contact.

hi... how can we fixed the rack and move only the pinion?
@Mechanical_Eng_Design7 ай бұрын
Use mates. Mate front, right and top plane of the assembly with the ones or the rack . Everything else remains the same.

It is easier to use a parametric equation driven curve than constructing the involution by hand using a spline. Add an equation driven curve to the drawing and use these formulas for x and y respectively. x(t) = "base_circle_radius" * (cos(t) + t * sin(t)) y(t) = "base_circle_radius" * (sin(t) - t * cos(t)) Where t is the the angle in radians. Try the range t1=0 and t2 = pi/4 and you will see the result. The formula is obtained the same way you construct using lines. It just expresses the x, y coordinate as a point follows a circular path and adds a vector attached to the point, perpendicular to the radius, with a length that increases by radius * t to obtain the final coordinate on the involution (cog). Notice equation driven curves can be moved around and be rotated if attached at the end and aligned using tangent and similar constraints. Try copy and then mirror on a curve. You can copy and paste a curve and set a minus sign before one of Xt or Yt in the equation of the copy to mirror the curve about x or y axis.

how did you find the width of each tooth
@Mechanical_Eng_Design Жыл бұрын
The face width is 12 times module. In this case 12X6= 72mm Check video at 0:00 1:45 How to find face width of the spur gear
@MakaylaCody Жыл бұрын
@@Mechanical_Eng_Design I think I understand that part, but I don't understand why you multipled the number of teeth by 4 to find the tooth degree to be 3
@Mechanical_Eng_Design Жыл бұрын
It's a standard formula for teeth design (360°/4T) where T is the number of teeth

When I tried to chamfer the edge at the end, AutoCAD gave me an error saying, "failure while chamfering," no matter what. The only way I was able to get the result in the video was by extruding a 1x1 right triangle along an arc, snapping it to where the chamfer would be, then subtracting that shape from the bolt.
@Mechanical_Eng_Design2 жыл бұрын
Hello, Make sure you do chamfer before creating the thread ie immediately after presspull Use Chamferedge option
