At least you're getting out and getting on some fish. We have entered the ice fishing phase, but the weather warmed up and compromised the ice. Too cold for the boat and too warm for ice fishing. I'll enjoy this winter watching you get it done son!

Sounds like you need to service all your reels; they sound like they need a good cleaning and grease and lube job. I take at least one day to service all my reels about every six months. And my reels still sound and reel like they are brand new...

What a blessing to have a bait spot like that from the bank. I can load the net in the winter from a boat but if I’m banking it bait is the hardest part of the day. Yesterday, after the front, I threw the net 20 times at 3 spots and had half a gallon ziplock bag of small to middle shad. Throw the net 4 or 5 times and get 4 or 5 shad, move around and repeat… Finally got to fishing at 8:30 and had 2 nice blues and a hybrid striped bass by lunchtime. I enjoy your videos because they are just regular good ol boy fishing trips.

Yessir!! I love catfish! Never had any Blue cat. Some day........................Thanks for bringing us along brother. We're not allowed to use a cast net. Gotta either catch em rod and reel or use dip bait. Not gonna pay $1 a piece for the suckers at the bait shop. No shad up here at all. Gotta cut up gills and other panfish. Lucky to get some carp or sheephead (gaspergou). Love your channel.

What length rods are you using?

I'd give anything to have a place to count on catching fish. I'd have to drive 4 hours to have any chance to do that.

Just got done with breakfast after a tough night at work. Having some coffee and enjoying some J&S Outdoors! It's getting cold here quick so might be able to ice fish before Christmas. That's bluegills, crappies, bass, pike mainly. I did get 2 nice channels through the ice one year around 6-7 lbs. Wish I could get those consistently through the ice. They fight hard! You had a good time there! Thanks for bringing us along.

2:23 man I would keep every last one of them I just cast netted and caught small bluegills and kept every one they’ll work

I just ended up giving away a bunch of channel fillets that I had intended to smoke and make catfish jerky. I just couldn't find the time to do it with this new job and being on 3rd shift now. Now I gotta wait until late April- early May to get after the cats. Winter is coming and the water temps fell below 50. Channels have just about quit biting for now. I'll watch you catch some this Winter while I wait for things to thaw. Good luck!! Almost forgot! Have a happy and blessed Thanksgiving!
