I remember catching about a 30 lb flathead and while stepping down toward the water edge at the dam the fish made a hard run while I had 1 foot in the air and next thing I knew I was on a big rock with my knee down. Made me rethink how dangerous fishing could be. Everyone be safe out there and good luck.

It is what it is, you will never be able to make everyone happy. You fish how you fish, usually determined by where you fish and why you fish for what kind you fish for. Besides, it is usually kind of hard to catch the huge fish on a regular basis from the bank. yes, you can catch the huge fish and I have from the bank ( 76# up to 100#) but it might be quite a while between them. Yep, those long poles allow you to cast a lot farther out where and when you need to. You catch a lot of actual good eating sized fish, that's why you fish when you want them to eat. I no longer can get around like I used to, several of your fishing spots are easy access from the road, hard to find in this area of Arkansas where I live (mountains mean steep). I like your videos because you are just an average Joe, no high dollar boat and electronics. Plus you are a family man and keep things in perspective. While I am not a big fish eater, I make sure that my family and friends that do get plenty of fish to eat. Besides, my wife is a carnivore and puts the fish and venison away. Keep doing what you do and keep it fun.
