Ryanair operates 737's which have shorter main landing gear, compared to the A320 for example, meaning as a passenger (especially seated right above the main carriage) will feel the effects of touching down much greater. Another reason is they are conditioned (in their SOP's) to land on the touch-down zone which can be challenging in some cases which may be another reason why they land hard. Adding to this, in the Boeing manual you need a positive touch down (firm landing) in order to activate the main reversers, so a soft landing could be dangerous! In your case, Landing on runway 22 at Stansted will mean a long taxi to the gate. Pilots want to exit the runway as soon as possible to get you guys to the gate on time, which will mean wanting a shorter landing distance! Which in turn may cause a firm landing to get get the aircraft on that TDZ.
