I have the exact same issue with my S500 2003 after a flood rain it doesn't start all of the clusters on the dashboard are responding the key is good in my knowledge because everything works on the dash except for it won't crank .

Why are some of your wires snipped and not connected and also a notice a group of wires that you tied together

Did you have to remove the seat to remove the carpet or did the carpet come up after you release several panels

Man happen to my car an hour ago , just turn it off when turn back on very weak slow start , turn it off again turn it back on hearing some thing spinning believe starter head gear, now car no crank no click… hopefully CAN BUS wires issue not motor starter… BTW Thank you for all their info and video.

thanks Jeremy i have the same problem. W220 (s320). took it to a guy who said he was a mechanic.. I don't know what he is but he failed to fix this problem . all he did was to short cut stuff and now I have to use a relay to start from the bonnet.. will check out your suggestion and revert

I have a 2000 s500.. I used a jump pack to open my trunk due to the battery being dead. I connected the jump pack to the jump points under the front passenger floor mat. The next time something sparked as if I blew a fuse when connecting the jump pack. Now my car is doing the same exact thing that your car was doing. I have full power but the key does nothing at all. Please help!!!!

This was a good one. Lighting was converted, but wouldn’t dim. ALI said it needed a dim control box. Figured out if we added a 1K resistor to the dim switch it would dim just fine without the need of a dim controller or rewiring the system.
