Dr. Yuen, your background on Philosophy and Taoism is impressive, and your effort to educate and help the public is noble. Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) and Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) are now the main stream, with much evidence based researches and studies in psychotherapy. I wish that Hong Kong University, other therapists, or practitioners would look into how Taoism could be used or applied fully or partially as the basis or pillars to all these psychotherapies or in their practice, especially in the treatment of Depression and anxiety disorders. One problem of Taoism is the public impression that it is a religion, or as 養生之道 rather as a discipline. The mental health Health Care System in HK needs better trained, higher credential health workers, not to mention much increase needed for supporting services and public education on mental health.
