I feel bad for the poor soul that is urban exploring and activates that thing when that hangar is abandoned in 30-50 years or so and gets the life scared out of them and takes a bubble bath in what will most likely be nasty brown shit foam

FUN FACT This isn’t a normal foam it a foam that mix with a chemical it not dangerous to the body but it can be harmful for eyes just close your eye.

Suprised they can't use some sort of dummy chemical for the purpose of the test to avoid causing that huge mess.

Hi Aviation Inspector here. You absolutely DO NOT want to be in a hangar like these guys when foam goes off. In fact, we had a guy suffocate to death a couple of years ago in that foam.

If you suppress a Fire from the Base of the Fire, Why is the foam dropping from the Ceiling? Makes Zero Sense
@beeboee2 ай бұрын
whos to say how high the base of the fire is

Because aircraft are large. And the base of a fire could be 10 feet off the ground. It's a catch-all

Fun fact, this foam is made of "forever chemicals" or PFAS iirc. Causes cancer and seeps into the dirt in the area, making the ground toxic for years after

That fire fighting foam has p- fas in it aka the forever chemical.

I hope you’re all aware that fire fighting foam is highly toxic to humans. 33 States are taking steps to ban the use of AFFF in training exercises. And AFFF is only to be used in an actual fire response. 12 States have banned the use of AFFF containing PFAS.

It's not highly toxic
@briank106622 ай бұрын
@@hantrio4327 You have no idea what you’re talking about. And I’m not going to engage with your nonsense of toxicity vs mutagenicity either. Your arguments are void of science and reality.
@hantrio43272 ай бұрын
@@briank10662 Then tell me what is wrong about my statements. For clarification: I'm talking about acute toxicity. Of course do mutagens damage for example the DNA but that doesn't mean you automatically have any symptoms. The problem is the increased risk of cancer. At higher doses of course there can be immediate symptoms but at a high enough dose everything is toxic. For mutagens long time exposure at low doses is a bigger problem than one time high dose exposure. For acute toxins one time high dose exposure is a bigger problem than long time low dose exposure. In my opinion something with an LD50 higher than 300 mg/kg body mass shouldn't be called toxic

@@hantrio4327 The topic is AFFF not your rabbit hole theories. And stop using google, as your references are inaccurate as populated.
@hantrio43272 ай бұрын
@@briank10662 When did I write that Google is my reference? Your reference also could be Google. You claimed that this foam is highly toxic. I think this is a false statement. I agree that the foam is unhealthy and can potentially increase your risk of getting cancer but other things also do that and I wouldn't call them highly toxic
