I haven't used the S1 pro + yet just the older version of the Bose. But I would still say it depends on your audio level needs.

Other than the battery (it seems like it doesn’t apply to these gigs you’re speaking of) what’s the point of using a battery powered ev instead of a Qsc cp8 for normal gigs? Considering the cp8 is 500 and the ev is 750 especially when you’re throwing the compact ability out of the window all together
@gobrad4 ай бұрын
Hi.. thanks for doing this video… The fact ur us batter powered saves running a powered cable, but it defeats the purpose if I have to run an XLR cable… Or is it also blue tooth?… If so, is it responsive ?
@MrBigrash774 ай бұрын
These are also Bluetooth and easily pair through the EV app. The app is very responsive.

I heard the everse at a gig where a Taylor Swift impersonator used one. I was blown away with the sound, especially the base that came out of this battery powered little speaker. Impressive
@MrBigrash774 ай бұрын
That is definitely one of the main differences. Alot more low end. Also the Everse 12 recently dropped as well, yes its larger but it's also a great battery option as well

A/Bd the two and thought the EVs sounded brash and tinny in comparison. Maybe better EQ would have fixed it but wasn’t a fan. I run the S1 Pro Plus with an L8 and it sounds massive.

Thanks for the comparison. Do you think the Ev8 can handle backing tracks & guitar for solo gig? I'll be giging hotel pools etc. Cheers!

Bose is lighter, smaller and more portable than the ev's. That's why I'll never return it for the ev
@MrBigrash777 ай бұрын
Definitely smaller, definitely a little lighter. Please don't get me wrong they're both amazing speakers. I love them both after Using both speakers in gigs on a daily basis in gigs, it depends on the Venue, and audio need. There's only a weight difference of only 1.3 pounds. However there's definitely a notable difference in overall volume capability. Just my personal opinion. Definitely worth giving the EVs a try if your a Full time Gigging Musician, or DJ. I have a variety of sound systems I use for my personal specific gig needs.
@Robe_Hernandez8 ай бұрын
I love the plug and play with Bose. EV effects are a pain to tone it just right. You need a mixer to be able to compete with the bose clean sound. Everse louder yes, but if I need more sound Ill just hook up a EV 12 with a mixer.
@MrBigrash778 ай бұрын
Please don't misunderstand my post. This is just my personal preference. I agree bose is simple. But you'd be surprised, how simple Setting the EQs are directly from the speaker or the EV app. Once you set your preferred settings it stays at your desired sound. For me personally after Gigging with both speakers. The EVs Have a bigger sound with More watts, DB, and also larger subs. However I still use my Bose for monitors or smaller venues. And as rehearsal speakers 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽

Quality of audio? Ev can be louder but how about the sound quality? Tested the Everse 8 sounds a lot of 250hz-400hz muddy sound, bose is kind of balanced, on the Ev you have to GEQ it to take out those annoying hard frequency,
@georgchekinoff23910 ай бұрын
Hello again. I live in Russia. There is no one to ask. The battery life of my Everse 8 with all three channels: microphone, guitar, soundtracks at high volume lasts a maximum of 3 hours. Does anyone have such a result? Are 6 and 12 o'clock indicated for one channel or for all three?
@georgchekinoff23910 ай бұрын
Hello. There is one question that haunts me! While charging the Everse 8 speaker, if you turn it off using the on/off toggle switch, after 10-15 minutes the LCD display may blink, not always and briefly for a few seconds, after a long time it may blink randomly again for a few seconds, and this happens until it is completely it will discharge. it will be charging. You may not notice it right away. But I noticed and do not understand, should this be the case when charging the device when it is turned off by the toggle switch? Nothing flashes when you turn it on. Everything is as usual. The speaker is brand new. It was bought 1.5 months ago. But this phenomenon manifested itself immediately. The first time, it was about 75% charged. I was charging at 100% and accidentally saw this. I have never had such display speakers before, so I do not know if this is normal for them or not. What about your column and what about others who will read this question? Is this blinking happening? I wanted to find out. I didn't find anything about it in the instructions. Thank you.

You're Very accurate bose is great right out the box for sure just depends on your needs for sound, venue, and crowd size. I really only use these when I don't have power and have to rely on the battery function. They're both amazing speakers.
