Yeah, let's ask the guy who's area of study is mathematics rather than cosmology what he thinks about the universe.

I love the idea of intelligent design and to think that we all have a special place in a world designed for life. I like the idea of human uniqueness. But then I am sceptical when I see so many people suffering and dying from genetic diseases, often debilitating ones. What sort of divine designer would allow that sort of thing? My mother died very young from MS for example. So many genetic disorders, cancers affecting young and old, many people wheelchair bound. People dying of hunger. Where is the grand design? I guess in favour of design it is interesting though that humanity not only has developed such intelligent brains but also has the designed body to be able to perform tasks and put thoughts into action. For example, arms and hands to grab objects and build, make fire, and write and draw etc.

Please can someone help me to understand this topic more? Is this theory saying that there is evidence of Intelligent Design but that the creation of life on Earth has still involved some kind of a process of evolution, but that it wasn't just a random chance Darwinian Evolution but that it was a Designed Evolution? That Humans evolved from animals, but that that didn't just happen at random, that the process of evolution is designed to happen exactly how and exactly when it happens, and that it is a very meaningful and intelligent process and not just completely meaningless and random? Or is this theory saying that no kind of evolution has happened at all, and that the appearance of life on Earth and all the different species and Human Beings has occurred through some other kind of process, that has absolutely nothing to do with any kind of evolution at all? Is this saying that evolution did occur, but it was an intelligently designed process of evolution. Or is it saying that evolution didn't happen at all?
