Little tip: DO NOT play terror and starvation, it is literally the "nightmare difficulty" of the game, fear and hunger is the "hard mode" and hard mode is "do not even try". The only way to beat terror and starvation or hard mode is to perfectly know all of the fights in the game, all exploits, item locations and order of progression, with an extra pinch of luck. So just play fear and hunger difficulty since it'll kill you tens of times just to reach the easiest ending possible.

I've found that if you manually disconnect by alt tabbing and dropping your network, then reconnect right away, you can log back in and then start the boss fight about 40 seconds before the rest of the party finishes the speech. It is that long of a speech.
