I often play this track before I drift off to sleep and let it weave its melodies and haunting overtones around me like an ethereal blanket. Although I've listened to it countless times, I've only just discovered the video - wow. It's so dream-like and mysterious. Unsettling yet comforting. I love it.

This video is a Monet, it is art in of itself. Stark and beautiful, lush and sparse all at once and invoking of sadness and hopelessness along with hope. Stunning!

Brilliant cinematography and music. Some moments reminded me aesthetically The colour of pomegranates and the concept itself the Shadow house. <3

This video takes me back to the question I thought but didn't ask about 5PM. Matteo, for you as a creator of truly artful videos with your own music in them - what is the primary level: the sound or the image? Basically, regarding your own music videos - are you a composer or a director first of all?

Very interesting to see what kind of vision you had in mind while composing this track. I feel like I am left with more questions after watching than before. Dear everyone in the comments: what is your interpretation of that video ?

These colors! The palette and the color grading are stunning. The contrast of the images flowing into each other is almost palpable. One can imagine being surrounded by this pinky-sunny day - feeling cold. When the pinks turn out not that rosy and the yellows, not that sunny. Also the geometry is so sharp: seemingly simple, it creates a very fragile ambience delivered by this beautifully melancholic melody. Really cinematic video. Thank you, Matteo and all the best wishes for every one of your projects.

The video is really well done but, admittedly, for a song entitled “The ghost of Hamburg” I would have expected to actually see Hamburg in the video, like the cityscape, the harbor, the parks, the warehouse district, the fish market, pouring rain, or something like that. What were your thoughts when coming up with the idea for the video? The song is really beautiful by the way!

Hi! Thank you! As I tried to explain in the video description, in this case Hamburg isn’t representing a geographical place but a specific and ‘dark’ state of mind. I call it like this for personal reasons, but it has many other names. Thank you for watching!

@@matteovdivafabbiani7946O hadn’t read the description. Thanks for the explanation! But it’s cool to see that everyone associates something else with the song. I am from Hamburg and commute through the city center and harbor area everyday for work, so this is probably why I take the title of the song much more literally.

Would probably have never read the message the song turned out to have with the video now. Without the visuals it simply had these bittersweet, but totally peaceful and calming vibes and totally deserved to be a bonus track, because it just felt so different to 'A Day Like This'. It's beautiful and fascinating to see more of Matteo's actual view on it through the visuals now. Simple and on point. Well done.
