Stevie Windwoods vocals and musicality were most definitely influenced by the great Sam and Dave, no question.

Stevie Winwood gave us so many great musical moments, ( 40,000 headmen, Heres a little song, Feelin Alright, Im a Man, Arc of a Diver )but he also gave us phrases to use all of our lives, ( "it wasnt that, it was the Low Spark of High-heeled Boys" and " tonights game is going to be a Shootout at the Fantasy Factory"). Thank you Mr Winwood, for help us to get Back i the high life again!

I'm 67 and agree with all the kudos for Steve Winwood. It seems to me he listened to alot of jazz given the jazzy jam here. This version is pretty uneven in terms of tempo and lacks the killer sax solo in the recorded version.

I was 4 years old when they played the Civic - grew up only blocks away - so amazing that Traffic, Bowie, and others played there back in the day. I discovered traffic in my late teens (80s) and bought every album/CD available. No better set of musicians - really every album is a masterpiece and still listening to this today brings shivers. Just pure talent plain and simple. 60s and 70s were a MAGIC time for music.

Steve Windwood has always been one of my favorite musicians, hard to believe he was only 14 when he played and sang with the Spencer Davis Group. Talented for sure

Wow, amazing! What caused such a torrent of talent in the 60's and 70's. Was is Vietnam? Woodstock? I think it is that music is what was attracting the true talent and genius of the era as a way to make a mark and speak your mind.

Beautiful music listen to the sax listen to the complete ensemble. Listen to the vocals my goodness what a time for us as teenagers growing up to have the best rock ‘n’ roll music come into existence. Now we look back and say we made history they made history many of them are still with us, but many of them are gone. It’s incredible music is eternal and inspirational and listening now to traffic brings back such great memories like the night I was supposed to get to the Greek theater in here and play with my pals and my boyfriend and it was three hours to get there from South Bay LA Greek theater because of the traffic we got there the show been canceled. we were so upsetback then there was no Internet. There was no cell phones, but there was plenty of drugs and alcohol for whatever but it didn’t make anything better. I wanted to hear the music.
