We just got back from Disneyland/DCA from earlier this week, and I highly recommend to anyone that they go while the parks are decorated for Halloween. The Haunted Mansion was amazing, the extra food options were good, and there are tons of decorations big and small all over the park to see. And as for Star Wars Land, even without extra decorations for Halloween, there is already so much to look at and discover there that they don't need it.

I agree and Oogie Boogie Bash was worth the price of admission. I just wrapped up editing my Oogie Boogie video. It will be posted on Wednesday. My wife and I went to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party last year, and I thought this event was better. The treat trails had awesome meet and greets and there was a better assortment of treats. The Halloween party in WDW MK does have a better parade and the castle show is amazing, but it was nice to do something different in a cooler park. I love the weather at Disneyland and DCA. Thanks for watching.

How did the Boston shaker not yield 'proper dilution'? If your drink was over-diluted, it's because you put the water in as an ingredient, not because the ice melted in the shaker. It is supposed to. The purpose of the shaker is to provide dilution and chilling - both of which come from the ice melting. Good vid overall though. My buddy has the Yeti and likes it. I have a traditional cobbler shaker. I think I'm going to get a Boston next.
@fooddrinkchroniclesАй бұрын
Thanks for watching. I’ve changed my recipe. I don’t add nearly as much water. I’ve had the YETI shaker for a while now. I find myself using the Boston shaker more for the ease of use. The YETI shaker top requires some maintenance. It has two rubber gaskets that must be kept clean. However, the gaskets are easy to remove. I also find myself using the shaker on any YETI that it will fit.
@deadgolfer6345Ай бұрын
@@fooddrinkchronicles Yeah, I hear people brag on the Boston for ease of use so much. Which is a little weird to me because I don't find the cobbler (a non-yeti cobbler) difficult to use really. But it's hard to ignore so many raves about it. It's funny I didn't even think about the gasket cleaning problem. When I've had drinks with that buddy of mine that has the yeti, I'm not there the next day for cleanup! I only observed the actual drink making. So interesting point.

Hi really enjoyed your video, especially the night time shots, seen a lot of videos from the Epic but have to say really found yours enjoyable and informative. We are sailing on this ship next Oct, noticed you said you were on in late Nov. was wondering what weather was like and avg temperature. Also was H2O open every night?
@fooddrinkchronicles2 ай бұрын
It rained often, but I was glad we packed light rain jackets. The weather was chilly in the mornings and at night. I wore a hoodie and didn’t have any issues with the cold. I didn’t venture out to H2O at night very often. I mostly spent time at O’Sheehan’s and Maltings. I felt like the ship had plenty of nighttime events.

Sailing Sept. 8. I’ve booked the Totem Bight Park tour for my mom and me but the short duration of time in port has me scared. Esp from Ward Cove. Wondering if it’s better to cancel the NCL booked excursion and just spend some time in the town? Also, a random question but I’m looking for someone who knows - do the regular/non Haven staterooms have coffee makers available? If so, do they take Keurig pods or flat soft pods? I want to buy some from Amazon to be able to have my own coffee in the room. Thanks for the video!
@fooddrinkchronicles2 ай бұрын
The ship is supposed to wait if it’s an NCL booked excursion. The time in Ketchikan was short for us. We saw the lumberjack show and then we had to get back to the ship. There is a shuttle, but we didn’t know if we could take it because the excursion line was in Ward Cove. The town looks really cool. I wish some of the port stops were longer. I got to spend time in one town out of three stops. I’m considering taking another cruise and do shorter excursions. Ward cove is a massive store. It’s great for people who like shopping for souvenirs. We did not stay in the Haven, so I don’t know if they have a Keurig. Our balcony state room didn’t have one. We paid for a drink package and had Starbucks every day. Thanks for the comment.

What was the cruise date ? Did the ship ever feel too crowded and did you have any issues with port transportation to excursions? Great video!!
@fooddrinkchronicles2 ай бұрын
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. We cruised on 9 June. It was very crowded. We tried eating at the Local for lunch, but the crew members pushed us to the Manhattan Room. We didn’t wait too long at any of the dinning and bar locations on the ship. There’s plenty of places to go. However, the Garden Cafe is always jam packed when it’s open. It’s the busiest area. Port could be very crowded. My wife and I would wait an hour for the crowds to leave the ship. Transportation was great. The only issue I had was with the app. The app doesn’t show your itinerary or ship time when you leave the ship. Other than that, I felt like the NCL Encore did a great job.
