The template works as a standard Excel workbook. If you connect it to an external data source, via Power Query for example, it will work absolutely fine. You might then just need to link the data input table to the query table, or adjust the visualizations and their calculations, so that they refer to the source, but overall there shouldn't be any issues. If you'd like a more flexible approach, please check our add-in Pine BI, which allows users to create advanced visualizations, like the ones in the KPI Template, in seconds.

Hi and thank you for purchasing our Project Management Template! To reset the Gantt Chart axis, all you need to do is fill in your plan and actual start/end dates. Then double click the axis to open the Format Axis menu. Go to Axis options, where you can reset the Minimum/Maximum bounds, which will reset the axis values. You can also reset the major and minor units if needed. By default, the chart is set up to show vertical lines per day and week, however in some cases with long projects they might create a bit of clutter.

Hi and thanks for the question! If you want to have the chart showing percentages, the formula should stay the same. The only thing you'd need to changes is the Target value and Actual values format to percentage. Hope this helps!

Hello, with this technique, you can have only one target line. However, instead of using an error bar to show the target, you can simply have one additional column in the data table with the target value and us it to calculate the Above Target measure. Then use a combo chart and show the target series with a line. This way you can have multiple targets in the same dynamic chart.

We'll provide detailed videos of all features soon, but in the meantime here is an overview: The Analyze Data feature in Excel is a great way to quickly get a chart or a table, summarizing the information for you either in a general way, or based on a specific question. For example as a percentage of total or by highlighting best/worst performers. Pine AI's Data Analysis feature works differently. It will go through the selected data, understand it and will be able to provide not only a general summary, but a comparison analysis, describe trends, discover any opportunities or risks. This information will not be provided in a table or chart, but as natural text. You can get as specific as you want with your questions and even ask for any suggestions based on the data. For example, you can ask for 5 ways to boost sales of the worst performing product based on the provided details. You can even ask the text to be created in a specific way, so that it's perfectly structured for an e-mail for example. In addition, you can ask questions in almost every language, so you don't have to be a native English speaker to describe exactly what you want. I hope this gives a bit more clarity of the feature.

For AI Data Analysis feature, please consider creating a video of how Pine AI could be helpful breaking down the trends of a dataset of (real estate) competing home sales (median sales price, median sales price per square foot, days on market, are competing home prices increasing or declining in the past 3 months and 6 months and by how much, etc…). Hi, the pane will stay there, but only the colored part. The menu links won't scroll down. Depending on your needs, you can create the navigation in a similar way at the top rows, instead of having it vertically on the left. This way it will be hidden when you scroll down, unless you freeze the top rows.

@@Pinexl, thanks. I’ve managed to use only five main “buttons” that “collapses and expands.” I froze them so they’d stay. It may just be an illusion, but it looks great. This idea of yours is was an eye-opening game changer.

Hello and thanks for the question! You can definitely add new data without having the build the dashboard from the beginning. Some small changes may be required for the charts data sets, but you can overwrite current data and add new information without a problem!
